Hearts have charged us £10 per head, then add in the cost of the pie and a pint then that's basically the £20.

I’ve had a go at Hibs about the pricing of a lot of things recently but don’t think this is bad at all.

If I have no luck in getting a spare then this seems a pretty good deal tbh.

£20 when you look at the costs involved is fair.

Quick question, is it actually ‘live’ or will it be through Hearts TV so have a 90 odd second delay? Just so I can tell my mates to turn the phone notifications off!

I imagine it will be the same as the Rangers beamback last season with Hearts TV's feed and Hibs TV commentary.

Agreed, it sounds very reasonable, and there's the Old Firm game first. I'd be up for that.

Aye that's what I thought. One of our group is so bad for notifications so we always know beforehand when there's a goal. Have to get it sorted for this beamback!

Aye that's a good point. Never happening then.

Four of my group just bought tickets. Actually looking forward to it. Enjoyed the beamback of the hun game in the stadium and imagine this will be better.

Seems a decent deal … £20 for a decent seat , chance to see the new bar , a pint and pie and what I’d imagine a decent atmosphere

The issue with these things is you tend to get the odd idiot who has a bet on and will announce it to everyone, and a betting side will update about 90 seconds ahead of the actual stream.

:agree: That's what happened with the Rangers one last season but it was outside so not quite as bad. This is inside so any shouts will be more audible.

I'd warn everyone at the start that any spoilers and you'll be asked to leave.

if anything, by the time staffing and electricity/gas costs are factored in, Hibs will be making a loss, so good on the club for pushing to make this happen at an affordable price

Keiran don’t know if it’s was just me but that was mission impossible - tried countless times and was told my card failed authentication pinged to the club on Twitter to be told it may be sold out.

if there’s other folks in my boat that’s not the place to be over the festive period for the club. Money lost for the club. I’m still waiting on a response to my plea for help.

Did you ok the purchase via your bank app? There is 2 step authorisation now on most card purchases online. Legally they all had to change by October.

Let's not over egg it. |If they sell 250 tickets at £20.00/ticket that is £5000. I would guess that there will be financial benefit to the club, even with the cost of staff/heating/pie and pint. Good initiative though.

Yep, it's open from 12, there's 2 games on the box and the bar is open.

I don't know about others but I intend to enjoy a few beers and make the most of the day. Hibs will be making a profit on this and that's fine. It's what all bars are trying to do over the Christmas period.

Probably been done to death but this is one of Scottish football’s biggest games and should be on Sky. Scottish football tv deals don’t sell our game, particularly when most games shown live are just either side of the OF against anyone and not the biggest game on the fixture list.

Yes it is a farcical deal no doubt. Not showing the Edinburgh derby is a joke to me honest.

Half the £20 goes to Hearts, so down to 2500. There’s a pie and pint to be provided to each of the 250 as well. And the costs of staff, heating, electricity, cleaning, etc.

hopefully with the bar ticking over and possibly more food on offer, the club will make a profit, even a slight loss I’d still say this is a good initiative.

all in all, I think it’s a decent move by the club

thanks I’ll see if there’s anything but recall at the time speaking to the as there was an issue with Uber payments on my credit card but nothing was mentioned rather the tighter security and associated issue lay wit the merchants who needed to update their security to comply with the stricter regime.

For those who received a confirmation email after buying tickets for this…

Does the email state you need to collect tickets from the ticket office? Or is your email your ticket?

I didn’t get an email. Contacted the ticket office and their reply was pretty unhelpful. Before I respond thought it would be easier to find out what the confirmation email actually said.

Didn't really say anything in the email that I could see so was quite confused by that as well. No e-ticket sent either.

Says this though;

"HOSPITALITY

• If you have purchased Matchday Hospitality you will receive your purchased tickets and itinerary details via post no earlier than 1 week prior to the fixture date. Please ensure your postal address is up to date for this purpose. For queries please, email [email protected]"

So assuming they'll be sent out.

I was in the ticket office the other day for something else.

I mentioned the beamback and the guy checked and my ticket was sitting there waiting for collection. The confirmation email and the information at time of purchase wasn't very clear though, if I hadn't been in I would never have known I had to collect a physical ticket.

Thanks mate

I’m loathe to criticise usually but this just seems really backward. Can it be so difficult to have the email count as the ticket? Just creates unnecessary work for the TO and supporters

Suppose most people can collect on Xmas Eve
