I see the tickets for this go on sale very shortly - 4pm today.
This game is on TV so wonder if it will have much impact on sales, but after a break which everyone will no doubt welcome after bleak form, the appetite to get back to watching Hibs after a month of international football, many will be raring to get going with Hibs again.

I found a way round it, assign the tickets then click refresh. That let me check out.
I ended up having to sack the 3 in my basket on mobile browser and use a desktop browser, but let me buy the 3 needed from there.

I can see why it dosen't hold much appeal.
Only ground in Scotland I wouldn't consider taking my son due to the home crowd.

I'd argue Tynecastle is worse for your son given all the open drug taking, drunkenness, vandalism, ridiculous songs and general mayhem that goes on there.
Out of the 3600 tickets sold for Hearts away, how many are going to Ibrox? Barely 700 if you're lucky. I know it shouldn't but it really ****s me off.

And me, it’s a joke we can’t sell out 900 tickets, Thursday night or not.
Our support picks and chooses when to support though. Always have, probably unfortunately always will.
This is why loyalty points is a must.

Money is tight for a lot of people with plenty now struggling who weren’t before. The tickets for this weren’t cheap, throw in the travel costs and takeaways and a hell of a lot of Hibs fans who would have gone now can’t. Those of us lucky enough to be able to go should just be counting our blessings.

Correction, theres a lot of Hibs fans who can go but just won't. They'd rather watch it on Sky spouting excuses like I won't Rangers them the money etc. If the derby was on tv it would not have sold out as quickly yesterday. Reality is that Andrew70 is right, our support pick and choose when to go, we are ***** and playing crap so Ibrox is off limits but if we were playing well it would have sold out on the first day. In the championship you struggled to get a ticket for Rangers away and even after coming back up it sold out.
Points system is a must, it would also sort out these one game wonder jokers who only go to Hearts away.

I agree that we need a points system. But calling fellow Hibs fans jokers is low. We probably have about 1500 steady away fans. So you saying that 2000 need sorted out?
I've only been to a couple of away games this year but have a ticket for Tynecastle and got it about an hour after they went on sale. I can't imagine there's that many fans who wanted a ticket that didn't get one.

There are plenty that never got tickets for the game and plenty that got tickets who won't have been to an away game this season and this will be their one game a season.
A points system would clean that up straight away and this game would never go to zero pointers. If Hibs had done it right from day one we wouldn't be in this position of folk missing out on tickets.
It won't happen but it should be implemented starting next season, its easy to maintain as its all electronic. Adidas manage it no bother, so do other clubs including hearts and have done for years.
If you had a ST this year as well as an AST you start next season on 100 points
If you had a ST this year but no AST then start on 80 points
If you have a half ST this season then you start on 60 points.
A seasons worth of points should also drop off every 2 years as well to keep points manageable.

I don't think it does do the job adequately. Yes it sorts out those who go nearly every week but the issue is those who can attend 60%, 70%, 80% of away games but cant commit to the AST as it wouldn't be suitable for them. There should be a points system to provide a fairer system for those who go to some away matches.
I don't think its right that a ST holder who's been to a few away games in a season is thrown into the same pot and given the same chance of a ticket for Hearts away as a ST holder who hasn't bothered to go to any away games all season but all of a sudden they fancy a Hearts away day. Don't think thats fair at all.

I’d be in the group you describe there. I’m quite happy to take my chances with every other season ticket holder. I think I’ve only missed out on one game I wanted to go to in the last ten years.

A lot of the regular away game attenders don't fancy going to Ibrox, which is understandable. We took roughly 1,400 to Kilmarnock but this is a different type of experience entirely, especially for those with young kids.
I'd imagine our recent form (plus maybe the day & time) has also put a few people off who might otherwise have gone.

I may just have been lucky but I've never experienced any serious bother at Ibrox since the away fans got moved into the corner.
It's not the home crowd which is stopping me going. It's the fact it's a very costly trip at this time of year to watch us most likely get gubbed.

Rangers, Hearts and Aberdeen away, are the places missiles get thrown at the Hibs support. Happens at every game
The think I hate about Ibrox is your locked in at FT, then left in the car park for ages, before the away support cars and buses are allowed out
Then you’ve got to try and get on the M8 to head home.

Yeah but wouldn't Ibrox be low points as it's considered a big game compared to an away trip to the likes of Saint Johnstone.

That’s a great basis on which to start next season. I thought the loyalty points was a great system until they royally ****ed it up by awarding points to HSL members. I got the points but did not need them.

I'm in favour of a points scheme but if we have one then the AST is no longer required. I also wouldn't award extra points for having an AST because they'd get points for attending the games.
Keeping it simple, I'd give 25 points for a season ticket, 15 points for a half season ticket, one point for each home cup game and one point for each away game, but no points if the cup or away game is a sell out. I'd also restrict the points to the two previous seasons plus the current one, so that it doesn't become a closed shop.

Its so easy to implement as well. Hearts have done it for years without any issues bar the usual moaning when those with not enough points miss out.

Sorry badly worded - I’d argue that they should be worth the same or more individually ie 100 for a home, 120 for an away so a combined 220.

Michael Beale has reportedly decided to call off his first game in charge of Rangers against Swansea as he wants more time to train the players.
According to the Scottish Sun [30 November], the game that was due to take place on Saturday, 3 December, will not go ahead.
Makes no sense if true as it would only be one more day of training 😆 hopefully Leverkusen give them a doing and we at least put up a decent fight and then who knows.

I like you HC but this post is pish. I missed a grand total of about six away games between 2006-2018 and haven’t missed a derby at tynecastle since 2005, been every time we’ve only sold half a stand expecting a tanking. When we had loyalty points I was going every week and was in the top band for getting away tickets. Unfortunately this year between overtime and projects at work, extra callout weeks and general personal circumstances Tynecastle will be my first away game this season. Hopefully I’m worthy enough to be there. I’d be away every week if circumstances allowed but it’s been hard enough for me to get the time to get to ER this year nevermind expensive away trips some folk simply canny afford in the current financial climate
