70 mins played before they showed up

Nobody in that squad to drag the team forward - boring

It is actually that simple.

A few players missing and what we're left with is nowhere near good enough.

100%.

There's only about 6 I would keep, the rest are not good enough for this level (and some of them for any level).

I was thinking that. The squad lacks talent. Nobody to change a game.

The fact Ewan Henderson is anywhere near Hibs is an appalling indictment of how far the standard has fallen under Ian Gordon’s recruitment. Please, please go back to wine sales Ian. You’ve done enough damage to us.

The whole strategy of RG of this young players we can sell on for a profit is just crap, just run a football club on the park properly.

Today was Tactics.

So so defensive and trying to beat killie at their own game

And it’ll remain that way while we’ve got these absolute idiots in charge of our club.

You could see a defeat coming a mile off today.

Today was all about tactics and motivation and team selection. Said before a ball was kicked that the team would struggle. Johnson's names out a hat team selection policy is 100% to blame for that today.

I’m not having it being a recruitment problem when we lost to a team with Oli Shaw and Fraser Murray in the squad. Or Ross County.

Johnson picked a shocking side today, kept players in that aren’t performing week in/week out and had six out of ten outfield players starting who are defensive.

:Agree: Johnson **** the bed with his selection today. Inexcusable.

There’s issues at the club that are righty being discussed but today wasn’t down to them.

We faced a vulnerable Kilmarnock team who just shipped 4 goals to Dundee Utd during the week and we picked a midfield of Kenneh, Stevenson, Campbell and Newell, with Campbell shoved out to the right where he was never going to affect the game.

I’ve defended LJ as much as anybody but today he went into self preservation mode instead of trying to win the game against a really ***** team. That’s 100% on him.

I know it's tough to say this without knowing them personally but it's the player's character for me that is most galling this season.

Some of them are a disgrace to their profession. 1-0 down and ah well that's it, game done. Any set back and they chuck it.

It's astonishing that when recruiting players, mentality and character is not at top of list for Hibs scouts. They've signed a bunch of kids from all over the world and hoped that we'll get a tune out of them but the proof is in the pudding 1-0 down midweek and at 1-0 down on a plastic pitch in Ayrshire mid November.

Kenneh, Henderson, and Newell in particular from today would be left in Killie if it was allowed. Glad we get a break from seeing this squad and hopefully January can fix the problems but we're in trouble.

Even the ones who have been here a while have started to let themselves down such as Cadden and Hanlon.

He needs to go and ALL the senior coaching staff have to go including SDG, who we should be remember is the only common thread in all our failures over the last seasons

If we are honest, how many of this squad would you actually keep. We cant get rid of everyone but for me about half a dozen (if that) are up to standard. Even a new manager would have much the same squad. 4 week break maybe the time to do it but no guarantee that the next manager will be any better.

Remember Lennon said Hibs were always perceived to be a boy band? He would be right to say that about us now too.

Signing potential only works for one or 2 players. Not half the squad. Buy low sell high mentality isn't working

We never seem to recruit tenacious’nasty’ type players.
Always softies
Lucky break has come new manager or not as we are in free fall and getting relegation style bad luck in every game with every big decision going against us

One hundred per cent.

The recruitment focus has been on the FUTURE without considering the PRESENT.

Nothing wrong with signing ‘hopefuls’ provided the first team is adequately resourced…but it isn’t!

Exactly good players shine regardless of tactics.

You see more commitmemt from the u18 lads, its time they were given a chance

I don’t think it can be reduced down to one or the other tbh Matty, it’s a bit of both. McKirdy looked a bit brighter than having Campbell on, but other than that, I really don’t look at our bench today and see anyone that actually wins us that game.

Boyle is essentially the only match winner we have that didn’t play today. That’s gotta be a problem with our recruitment and squad depth.

Having said that, I don’t actually know what Lee is trying for anymore. It seemed like he had a clear vision for a high press, intense style of football. He used to talk about clarity all the time in interviews. That’s gone out the window entirely.

The Harp Awakes

A complete lack of quality throughout the team. As soon as Boyle is off his game or out the team we struggle. Been that way for a good few seasons now.

Window after window we are failing improve the team. Recruitment is abysmal.

The change from 433 to 352 has not worked at all. Wasn’t down at Killie today but following the game online it sounded like we changed to 433 second half!?

We are bang in trouble regardless of who is manager, the big worry is the folk in charge of selecting a new one if it comes to that.

We played 442 first half today with one of the worst midfield selections I’ve seen in my time supporting Hibs.

Don’t even know what it was second half but it was largely irrelevant as they just chucked everyone back to protect their lead.

Correct. They've repeatedly failed in their recruitment of players and Managers, so you can't have any confidence they are going to get it right next time.

Campbell, Michell, Newell, Henderson, Kenneh, Magennis, JDH, Jair, Bojang - who motivates you out of that lot ?

Nine good salaries that could be way better invested.

Throw in Hanlon and Lewy and selling Porto - there’s another 3 right there.

A full team of outfield players who should be replaced, and some youth players allowed to step up to compliment new additions.

To be perfectly honest, none of them are remotely good enought to be playing for Hibs at this particular time.

FFS I thought Stevenson would be left of the 3 at the back, that is grim reading when you break that midfield 4 down.

If we go out and try to win games I’ll defend the players and manager as much I can, even if I look like a dick on threads 😂

When we send ***** players out to play ***** teams with a defensive mindset only interested in trying to avoid defeat then that’s unforgivable IMO.
