Maybe it felt like it was a decent amount at the time, but on reflection he’s realised his bung was a bit too light.

Not because of the human rights issues etc but because Qatar is too small a country. Says Blatter.

I'm unclear what's good about this news? The tournament is still going ahead unfortunately.

There are loads of reasons it should never have been agreed it should go ahead there
But we all k ow money talks it’s as basic as that
Having sat in Dubia Waiting on a connection flight to Nepal I remember I wasn’t allowed to give the hundreds of workers (cheap labour ) any food They were just left sitting in corridors
Not sure what the final death count was for these guys building the stadiums

Blatter has finally opened his brown envelope and it's not what he expected.

I believe it’s around 6,500. Probably much much higher in reality

And that’s just for these stadiums. The UAE states have been exploiting migrant workers for decades. I hope the viewing figures for this tournament are disastrously low, I won’t be watching.

The 6,500 deaths are deaths since they started building the stadiums not the actual number of people died building the stadiums. I think that was 30 odd.

Still too many.

No interest in watching this World Cup at all, even though I have 31 favourite teams competing
