Looks like there is a talented player in there and thought he was sharp when he came on tonight.

Little puzzled as to why we have an abundance of strikers and wingers but went one up top. Also why we never rolled the dice with going 2 up from at least 2-0 to go for the next goal.

Yes we played well 1st half but we weren't threatening the goal enough. Hopefully Johnson is braver going forward and has faith in our front players playing in a 2 or 3 again.

Shocking VAR decsion but jesus wept - we can't take a set back can we! Bottle merchants when the going gets tough.

Need to win v County - hopefully big Myko has a partner and if Boyle is going to be out get Melkerson or Youan or both involved

Melkersen’s first game for us against Motherwell showed enough in itself that he’s got bags of talent. Think we will see a lot more of him post-WC.

With Nisbet back after the World Cup, I’m not so sure we will see a lot more of Melkerson.

Thought he looked sharp last night. Likes to play quick and made a few runs that our play wasn’t quick enough, or more so our players didn’t anticipate quick enough.

Scott Allan in his pomp would carve out an abundance of opportunities for Melkerson.

Should have been in from the start last night. Really was no need for the midfield that started

I’ve been impressed with him in his last two appearances. He needs to be making an impact because the competition for places in the forward line is there. If he can add goals then he’ll jump ahead of the misfiring forwards ahead of him just now.

Initially, yes, but I reckon Melkersen will be here a lot longer than Nisbet. With Nisbet pushing for a move in a previous transfer window, think his contract expires in 2024, Hibs will look for a decent transfer fee next summer.

I am. He’s a better player than Nisbet

No they won’t.

He isn’t really, not even close.

Haven't seen Nisbet play for a while but Melkersen also hasn't had much game time. One is 19 though, so it's not a great comparison to be making.

He's clearly got a lot of ability but still young, hopefully he continues to improve.

He’s looked good in his last couple of appearances. One thing I have noticed is that he seems to have cut out the niggly fouls and just fights fairly for the ball. Promising signs and will be good to see how he progresses.

I've really liked the look of him the last few appearances. Looks to have improved and would definitely be starting him the next few games in a 3 up top. Melks, Myko and Youan.

Melkerson has a long way to go before he's a regular at Hibs imo.

Last night was better than he's been, but I can't see him making it at Hibs. Too lightweight and doesn't really excel at anything.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up going out on loan in Januray.

Was surprised he never started as he made an impact last Saturday when coming on.

I like him as a player and last season was a settling in process and he really should have scored a few goals but I liked his movement and he was always in good space.

It's been a rough season so far for him with the concussion issues.

He’s too old, was born on 31st December 2002

I think he’s looked quite bright in his two sub appearances and been involved in all three goals when he’s been on the park.

I’d start him on Tuesday (I’d have started him last night as well).

I think there is a player in there, time to start showing it.

Done well when he came on against St Mirren and was involved in 2 goals and then same again last night.

Absolutely no coincidence we got a goal from putting on another striker who made a nuisance of himself in the box.

Would like to see him start up top with Kuharevich.

People forget he’s so young, he’s proved he’s a finisher so let’s get him in the area where he gets that chance.

Nisbet will need to improve a lot on his pre-injury form if Hibs are to get a big/decent fee for him.

I've not been mad on Melkerson in the 433 (he doesn't really have the skillset to be either a wide player or central striker in that formation) but he's looked much more lively in a pair in the 352.

Previously I thought he looked miles off being ready but I've been impressed with his last 2 outings and would be inclined to start him if we played 352 again, which I think we probably should with the players we have available.

Me too, shown enough in last 2 games to deserve a start
