Punish, no way that was a full 10 that one would get a medal in any other sport.

Just realised Lopes is actually Duk, as I was struggling to think who you were talking about.

The short answer is yes the compliance officer could look at it and decide that he dived and offer him a ban. That would be the correct course of action.

The even shorter answer is that will never happen and the media will gloss over it.

Presumably the grittily authentic and honest man that is Jim Goodwin is waiting till tomorrow to make his comments lambasting Duk for a blatant dive, as he did (in his opinion) to Porteous. Otherwise, he’d be an obvious hypocrite, wouldn’t he?

The compliance officer should absolutely be pulling him up for the dive and, while it won't help us, he should serve a ban for it.

There is zero chance the compliance officer will make his two mates the ref and VAR look stupid and ban the diver.

VAR is bad for the game having spoke to someone involved in the english version there was always going to be issues up here.
