Is anyone else finding themselves being asked numerous times, every single visit, to give cookie preferences?

I accept that it may be the way I have my phone set up, but, if not, something should be done to stop it happening because it's extremely irritating.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Think it’s part of a new law that websites have to ask what cookies you allow now. I get it on a lot of websites. Afaik there’s no way around it.

Yes, it is, but it happens multiple times every visit to the official site.

i.e. It happens when I first go to the site, then again when I log in, when I read every single article or try to buy tickets etc.

I've never experienced that level of cookie control on any other website. It would be like getting asked to choose cookies each time you moved from form to forum

Happens to me on every page every time I'm on the official site (which isn't often due to the ongoing cookie issue).

Everywhere else will ask once in a while and then remember the response.

Exactly what happens to me. The website developers should change that.

Try downloading an extension called - I don't care about cookies. www.i-dont-care-about-cookies.eu (https://www.i-dont-care-about-cookies.eu/)

I have had it on my computer for several years and it works great on all sites.

Sorry - I have no idea. But search the site, it will probably tell you.

I still use Nokia 1600 dumbphone.

Only if you're using a mobile browser that supports extensions, the main one being Firefox. Even then, I'd recommend using this open-source fork of the extension: https://istilldontcareaboutcookies.com/, since the original was recently bought by a company that's not particularly trustworthy.

(On the official site it looks like they have two different cookie control systems in place – one that comes up in the centre of the screen and one that comes in at the side (on a desktop screen at least) For me, the one at the side seems to work as it should – it remembers your choice and doesn't reappear when you return to the page – but the central one appears every time.)
