Beaten by the narrowest of margins.

Very good news. Hopefully a peaceful handover of power.

Good news. But no doubt there'll be a Trump style accusation of fraud due to how close the vote is.

Lula won 50.8% of all valid votes to nearly 49.2% for Bolsonaro

WHAT WILL LULA DA SILVA DO?

Now, will Lula da Silva be the instant remedy for such a dire situation? Experts affirm that it is expected that the destruction of the Amazon will drop by 90% if Lula applies the measures that he has planned in this region.
The presidential candidate has announced that it will reduce logging and promote greater protection of the environment. “Although the Amazon is sovereign territory of Brazil, the wealth it produces has to be used by all the inhabitants of planet Earth”, he said during a recent stay in the region.

Good news although not the situation at the moment due to these mentalists. My wife - back to visit her mum for the 1st time in 3 years since her dad passed is unable to travel to see her although she and my son are safe with family in São Paulo city - her mum in the interim 6 hrs bus trip away :/

Bolsonaro is Trump on steroids. His behaviour and his followers is an absolute disgrace misogynistic homophobe bleep of a man.

Mirrored with the goings on/ambitions in Brazil and the States.

Lula is blaming the police and security services. Scary times for Brazil.

It is a worrying trend that right-wingers and their supporters seemingly can’t accept defeat. I would like to think it wouldn’t happen here if (when) the Conservatives lose the next General Election. However I wouldn’t be surprised if someone like GB News and the Daily Mail starting pushing “voter fraud” claims.
