Good to see him showing some of his abilities in assuming his favourite position. He does find good positions and clearly first half not alot came off for him but was a threat and think his movement created space for others. Quality involvement in second goal and brilliant finish for third. Hopefully can kick on.

He is natural talent mixed with a little chaos. Gets himself into good positions, some lovely touches. A mix of him and Josh Campbell would be some player.

We've had much worse squad players than Euan. Came in and done well.

Definitely brought himself back into the fold with his contribution yesterday. It was probably an ideal game for him and he could have scored a couple more.

I would probably still have Magennis back in for Friday though.

Henderson is a fantastic player, could do with bulking up a wee bit, but the more he plays the better he gets… great to see him get a goal yesterday, I could see the change/sub coming with movement at the dugout and suspected Hendo would be coming off, so we’ll fine to reward his shift with a goal… and a good one at that.

Thought he done really well yesterday and took a great goal too, his little knock forward for Mykola's goal was supremely clever.

Only negative was his attempt on goal in the first half, really thought he should have made their keeper make a save, and from replays it looks like he might have been able to look up and find Mykola for what would have been a sure-fire goal IMO. However that may be a bit of a confidence thing and if when he plays he puts in performances like that I'll be really pleased for him.

He always looks to get involved, and he’s good at finding space. Some of his decision making, and his final ball/shot, are really poor though.

I think he’s a better player than Campbell, but Campbell can slot into far more positions.

I’d like us to go with a three of Kenneh, Newell, Magennis if everyone was available.

Always trying to find the forward pass, rarely content with just keeping possession.

I think we need to remember that when we first had Allan, Mcgeouch, McGinn, Cummings etc. they had the luxury of making thier mistakes in the championship. What impresses me the most, and convinces me that he will make it isn't that even in the bad games he doesn't hide. He keeps trying things, and players like that always develop better, and you can bet the coaching staff love that as well.

I’m confused about Henderson.

Undoubted ability, but it seldom comes off for him.

Really made a mess of his chance in the first half yesterday but comes up with a goal and an assist in the second half.

Needs to find some consistency

I thought he had a poor first half but could've had a couple of goals. Second half he played very well. Brilliant wee pass for the assist for the 2nd and of course the goal. I like him, think he just needs a bit more composure sometimes.

"Hendo trains well every single day" - according to the Manager, sounds like he's a good honest pro to have in the squad.

Bit of the Stevie Mallan about him. Capable of worldies but not sure about his overall game and where he fits in. Game yesterday was a bit of a mixed bag. Cracking goal.

Maybe the manager could have changed his mind and let Henderson stay on the park after his goal yesterday. The goal might have given the player a lift and the game by then was won.

Agree, he's a good footballer but has a lot of competition in the midfield area along with Campbell, Magennis, Kenneh and Newell which is a result for Hibs, he needs a decent run in his preferred position and he has to prove he's more effective when he gets the chance. He wasn't far away from having that kind of game yesterday, the goal was brilliant and more importantly something to build on.

He done all the good work but just lacked the finish in the first half.

Definitely pkayed better than he had done in his past few appearances and will give LJ some thought going into Friday.

I like Henderson, another who I think will come good given time, never hides even when he is having a bad game, good squad player

Fantastic? We're lucky to have him then.

I like Henderson, he looked excellent in pre-season but then couldn't seem to keep it going at the start of this league campaign. Hopefully he can get back to his best and kick on.

He seems to get a lot of stick from folk around me at the game but I don't necessarily think he deserves it all. I can see why he gets stick because he can be quite frustrating at times, giving the ball away cheaply or silly fouls. But by the same note he is one of very few in the team who has an eye for a great pass and has good one touch technical ability.

Definitely has his flaws and might not make it much higher than Hibs without more physical attributes but he could still be a great wee player just needs to find some consistency and affect the game every week.

Totally agree. A strange substitution. Appreciate it may have been happening before his goal but leave the laddie on the park. His confidence would have been sky high after that goal.

I thought that as well.

Henderson wasn't actually all that great yesterday. He'd had the odd positive moment but it was probably outweighed by poor stuff prior to his goal.

You'd have expected the goal to give him a lift so I thought it might have been an idea to leave him on a wee bit longer and see if he could build on the goal and turn it into a good performance. Bushiri didn't start the game brilliantly but had a superb second half, it would have been good to see Henderson get a chance to continue in the same way.

All the subs did well when they went on tbf.

Tend to agree seemed harsh to take him off after rapping one in the top corner though manager was obviously wanting to play a few players

His passes are much more high risk so more chance of them not coming off. Was a big shout to start him yesterday and glad he contributed to the win. He is frustrating but personally like him and hope he gets better

Personally don't think he's good enough to be starting in a team looking to finish 3rd. Actually thought he was fairly poor on Saturday, took his goal well though. Hopefully more of that in the future.

Thought he was very good away to st Johnstone, Definitely a good player there but maybe consistency lacking in his game though . Hopefully the goal he got will give him a lift . Goal and assist for him isn't bad mind .

I do like Henderson and he was seemingly the better of the two brother at a younger age but his development has stalled, which happens a lot at Celtic (very few Scottish prospects through their system). I think he maybe tries too hard to play worldy passes all the time and needs to do the basics right to start with, he has good vision and needs to play behind the striker to get the best out of him. I hope we see a lot more of Saturdays form from him.

He set up the 2nd goal.

Yeah, an end product of one assist and a goal really can't be bad.

But did you think he played well other than that? I didn't. He had the odd moment but for the most part he looked out his depth, as he has too often since the opening day of the season.

Having an assist and a great goal under his belt and the team playing well meant that I thought he could go on and get more good touches on the ball and turn an iffy performance with very good end product into a good performance with very good end product.

Henderson mystifies me. Sometimes he looks good, often he looks lost. His assist and goal certainly gave us something to think about but it was pretty sketchy those moments apart.

Like him. He's been in and out the team. If he can earn himself a regular place I think we'll see the best of him.

At the game I thought Ewan Henderson
had a frustrating game, particularly in the first half. His early efforts at goal were less than impressive and a couple of wayward passes as well as being easily nudged off the ball looked awful.

On the other hand, his contribution to the second goal was sublime, as was the crisp strike for his goal.

Then I watched the highlights on soccerscene and throughout the highlights he was at the heart of absolutely everything.

I don’t know what to make of it. My feelings first half were he needed hooked. Soccerscene highlights suggest we have a star on our hands. Frustrating or what ? 😏
