Really like the look of him, has everything you want in a main striker. If there’s any chance of a permanent deal we should make it a priority.
Strength, bit of pace, brave and good finisher.
The other strikers have a job on their hands to wrestle the shirt off him, top player with bags of potential.

With L.J. being well in wi them who knows, he may also bring some more of them in, but Tam the bam MacManus is against us getting players as good as them.

Its been kind of slow and steady for me, up until recently he was kind of just working his way in, but now he has scored at Dundee Utd, a goal only the ref didn't think was legit, scored against St Johnstone and scored an absolute peach today by winning a ball he was very much 2nd best for and then planting a beautiful finish past the keeper. There was one point in the 2nd half where he laid off a super pass from a ball coming at him at about a hundred miles an hour, the guy has a touch too.
I doubt we will be able to keep him, but if his steady week on week improvement continues there's no chance we will, there's clearly a player in there.

"Spent wisely" is the key to that sentence. They'll just spend it on more Kios and Jorge Grants anyway.

You just know Neilsen would love to have him :greengrin
I had a quick look at what Troyes do with their young strikers over the last couple of years and it’s the same process; scout the most impressive youngsters, youth or B team for a few years, then send them to a foreign league for one season, then either repeat the loan to a different league if not successful and if they like the look of the player at his first loan club get them back in the Troyes first team for season 2
I’d be amazed if Abu Dhabi change the way they do things in Kukharevychs case.

I think Myko and Melkersen could form a decent partnership. It would mean Boyle moving to the left or right, which in turn would mean Cadden or Cabraja dropping out which seems harsh. Although with Boyle being injured we might get to see it.

I’d love to get him on a perm, but that seems unlikely tbh.
I’m fairly sure Troyes are part of the City group, so if he does well for us, he’ll end up being sold to another club in the same group, until the group can make a tidy profit on him.
The same people owning multiple clubs should absolutely be illegal, but as for now, it makes signing players permanently with quality potential from them extra challenging.

Strong and not easily pushed off the ball, even when he is sometimes isolated up front.

Said at the game he reminded me of Kamberi.
I think he's a class above that.
Mind you, I can't explain exactly why, but I never quite took to Kamberi even during his phenomenally successful loan period.
Of course, I was pleased that we managed to sign him at the last minute after the Swiss club were trying to renege on our agreement, but something about him just didn't sit right with me.
As I said, I can't quite put my finger on why, but it felt sort of like he was incredibly lucky because everything he touched went right, even when that was the unlikely outcome.
It transpired that the loan period was, indeed, a huge purple patch and his contribution after he signed permanently, and then with his subsequent clubs, didn't come close to matching it.
Mykola looks the real deal to me, though. Such a pity we only have him for one season.

Kukharevych looks an outstanding talent in the making. On loan fir a year but with a recall clause in the winter window. I sincerely hope he stays for the season and would love for us to be able to afford him. That said, if Kevin Nisbet steps up to the plate with his full potential then we are covered. If he does not then we are in need of another Kukharevych.

Johnson said we had no chance of signing him when joined us. He was seen as a long term project for the City group and there was talk of him moving from Troyes to Man City.
The move came about through Johnson’s contacts, we had done very little work on scouting him as he wasn’t seen as a potential option but was offered to us.
The Doidge move paid for Fish, Kuka and Mckirdy in terms of wages as well.

We likely aren't paying kuka or fish much.
If we got a loan fee of say c50,000 and killie take 3k of doidgee's wage, it could be £500 a week for kuka and fish each and 2k a week for mckirdy.

I'm not so sure.
Kuharevych will be paid by his parent club because this move is part of his planned development so we'll just be giving a contribution.
Fish and McKirdy won't be on big salaries so the total for all 3 could well have been paid for by Doidge.

What makes you think McKirdy won't be on decent money?

Obviously I don't know how much he earns, but I remember reading that wages wouldn't be a problem when we were after him.

You got me wondering what kind of wages Mckirdy might have been on .I found this but don't know how accurate it is?

Would much rather watch a good player for a short time than an average one for a long time.
Looks like we have a proper centre forward for the season. If he scores goals and get us some success that’ll do for me.
Speaking of good players for a short period, how is the player we took from Ross County on loan from arsenal doing, or what happened to him? his name escapes me.

They have us playing in the cinch premiership, the highest division of football in Scotland, the also have Hearts playing in the cinch premiership, the second division of football in Scotland :greengrin
They have hearts highest earner, Gordon, on half of what we allegedly pay Boyler

Not accurate at all. Clubs don’t make the salaries of their players publicly available.

There is no way those three are getting collectively paid what Doidge was on
Direct from Johnson’s mouth, I was surprised too.
I also noted a month or so ago how candid he was in person in comparison to the media comments which are full of filler.
