Yes it is, but I don’t know if they will have the side gate open between the east and the south, so may have to walk round passing the west stand.

Does anyone know why Hibs are sitting fans in the east instead of the west?

Competing well enough against a physically much bigger and stronger opponent. Wee McIntyre looks a prospect and the laddie at number 4 for Hibs is very composed on the ball.

Laidlaw is a bit isolated up front, but hopefully he’ll get more support in the second half as we shoot towards the Famous Five stand.

Kean deserves a lot of credit from changing to the back 3 early on, they were getting in quite a lot down our right hand side.

Lot of outstanding individual performances from Hibs players, O’Connor pace is quite something the laddie is absolutely rapid.

Aiken in the middle of the park was superb & thought Hastie going from right wing to left centre half was a great move.

Megwa really impressed me, seemed tiny compared to the Nantes forwards but I don’t think he was caught out once.

O. Macintyre’s reading of the game & anticipation is exceptional for such a young laddie.

Very much enjoyed that tonight, a great Hibs performance.

Very busy in the middle of the park but also composed on the ball, can carry it forward with ease too. Can see why he’s their captain, constantly communicating and driving his teammates forward.

Was a bit kick and rush first half but we improved in the second and had more clear cut chances to win by more. Not taking anything away from our guys but I was surprised by the lack of urgency from the French even though they looked a bit better technically.

Thought bringing on Macintyre and Molotnikov at half time helped us and Laidlaw had the beating of their full back all night. A great learning experience for the young ones and a good night for all who attended i’m sure.

He was my MOM, thought he was terrific all night, looks a really good prospect. Between him and Laidlaw for me. Laidlaw won the game and got to the byline a few times looking our most dangerous player. Most of that was teh second half though. Megwa was strong, composed and won all his battles all night. I thought Aitken looked very good in patches but gave the ball away a wee bit too much in the middle of the game. Very promising though that so many players look like they could have a future at the club

Really enjoyable night at ER, not something that I've been able to say very much. Expected more from Nantes tbh, based on being a top French U19 team, but we completed well with them, and should go over there believing we can progress. Atmosphere in FF Lower was good, though the big flags started to irritate a bit when going up at inopportune moments entirely blocking view of the goal mouths! But hats off to everyone in the block who backed the team tonight 👍🏻

Can't disagree with any of the above. They looked very decent at times but our goalie was never really tested, helped by some excellent defending and timely blocks. Laidlaw much improved from my first viewing at the Molde game. I suspect they will be a different prospect at home. We could have done with at least one of three really good 2nd half chances being converted pour aller a Nantes next Wednesday avec un deux goal advantage.
Will need a braveheart performance to defend the 1-0 advantage but there's a chance.

He played in the middle tonight, Blaney to his right & Hastie to his left.

Hastie deserves an enormous amount of credit, from starting as a right winger and transitioning to left centre half with absolute ease.

Based on tonight’s performance and admittedly it’s the first time I’ve seen them, some of the first team need to be having a wee look over their shoulders.

Another solid year of gym work needed methinks - for all - before being serious contenders for the big team. Nantes and Molde as a whole both looked much more athletic and physically more developed. But hopefully they continue to bench the odd one or two to phase them in, maybe with a 10mins taster if we are ever cruising in this pasting that LJ says is coming someone's way, whenever that might be.

I was impressed with the team last night, we were playing against a very good technical team who were also physical as well. We adapted well and deserved our win which with a bit of luck could have been bigger. Laidlaw in the second half was the standout, he destroyed them down the left flank.

Frogs is racist? I've heard it all now.

 does that now mean, that all the English and almost every other English speaking country are also racist for calling us Jock's or sweaty's or any of the other multitude names they have called us over the years.

Some would have you believe that it is sadly.

I would see it as a negative toned term tbh …French would used “Rosbif”. For British people - also pejorative Not sure it’s racist , but it wasn’t used as a positive label either

Not to put a downer on thing but over both last nights game and the Molde game I didn't think any of them are close to the first team....yet.

I’d have any of them in ahead of mckirdy tbh. :greengrin

Beaten on Wednesday night in Scotland (1-0) in the first leg of the 2nd round of the Youth League playoffs - "Vie des Champions" -, the Yellow and Green are now focussed on the math return scheduled for next Wednesday (19h) at Stade Marcel-Saupin. Find below, Pierre Aristouy's reaction at the end of this first round, in the heart of Easter Road.

What is your analysis at the end of this meeting?

Pierre ARISTOUY: "It's a bit like the match we expected before coming here, with an opponent who emphasised his qualities, especially in commitment and determination. We were not surprised. I can't say we're having a bad game, far from it. We approached the event rather well and sometimes had a lot of control. On the other hand, what could have made the difference tonight is this commitment put on their part in all gambling situations and that we may not have put enough on our side. I am thinking in particular of the offensive plan, where we were too tender and not sharp enough to be able to validate the situations we were able to obtain. On the other hand, our opponent has this strength and determination to complete his opportunities. For our young players, this may be what we need to take, this state of mind, this character, to go to the end of things."

All that remains is to reverse the trend in the return match now!

"It's for sure. If we want to cross this lap, there is no longer a choice. We will have to have, as was the case tonight, mastery at certain times and especially score goals. It is up to us to show more precision and determination in the final gesture. I insist on this determination above all. On this first leg, we hit 19 times against 9. But I had the feeling that they put much more envy than us in their attempts."

Do you have one last word for the fans, which we hope are many at the Marcel-Saupin Stadium on Wednesday night!

"It would be nice, yes! We saw tonight in Scotland, especially in the second half, that it was felt. There was noise, the players were pushed by their supporters. It's obvious that if we could have a full audience behind us, it would be great."
Nice mention for the Fans 👍
