Whenever you walk past the club shop after a game the place is absolutely rammed, there have been a few occasions where though I have fully intended to go in and buy something the sheer number of people has put me off doing so.

Given that it is possible to access the FF concourse from the shop and that a great deal of merchandise is sold to and for kids why do Hibs not enable access to the shop for fans in the FF stand during the game? No doubt there's a reason for not doing it, but it seems to me it could be a way to increase the shops sales on matchday, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one put off going in after seeing the sheer volume of folk in it after full time.

I think quite a few of the staff are season ticket holders, who go to watch the game at 3pm

I’ve also always been ordered their aren’t small pop up shops in the concourse areas. I’m sure it’s been done by Hibs from what I remember but never kept up.

Went for an interview as shop supervisor years ago, just before the Nike deal in-fact and they took over running the shop and kiboshed the vacancy (unnecessary detail I know). Part of the matchday shift was closing for game and opening 10 mins before FT.

Your right they don’t own the shop, they get some proceeds off the company for selling the Kit.

When in Germany attending games in Cologne and Berlin I liked the pop up club shops they had dotted around the confines of the stand, and that was just one stand that we were in. Along with plentiful food and beer facilities and free public transport (on the Cologne visit at least) it felt considerably more fan friendly than we face in Scotland.

I think Ron Gordon gets that and is making attempts to improve the fan experience.
