Very talented actress. A bit of a shame that she will largely be remembered for Murder, She Wrote. Still on stage in the West End in her 90's. RIP

My favourite role is with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer in ‘Gaslight’, where the commonly used phrase ‘gaslighting’comes from. Fabulous film and she plays a really nasty piece of work very well. It was from the 1940s so she can’t have been much more than 18 in it.

I'm sure I read she was aged 16 in the film and was nominated for an Oscar for her part in it
