Just noticed this. Only 7 goals conceded, only Celtic have conceded less. What's even more pleasing is that our main two rivals for 3rd, Hearts and Aberdeen, have both conceded TWICE the amount of goals we have, 14 and 15. Hanlon was abit shakey after his return but in recent weeks has formed that solid partnership alongside the fantastic Porteous.
Now that Rocky is fit and back he's going to struggle to get in because no way should we be changing the defense with such a great run they're on. Although to be fair to Rocky he was also playing well before his injury.
All in all its a great problem to have and brilliant to see us being solid at the back. Huge credit also goes to Marshall who is utterly fantastic and will gain us a fair share of points across the season!

Getting a lot of players back after injury we now have a solid squad.

Funnily enough I was just looking at those stats as well.
We definitely have a decent defence but the issue (as we all know) is that we're not converting a high enough number of the chances we create, hence us only being sixth in the number of goals scored.
If we could get that sorted, then I'd feel really optimistic about our season.

I was looking at the same thing, very marked us and the Glasgow Two have conceded way fewer than any of the other teams. Obviously just a matter of opinion if it’s shape and tactics or individual performances that’s at the heart of it. We’ve got two very good performers in Rocky and Mitchell to come back into contention as well. I personally think our attacking shape, and the amount of time we have the ball high in the opponents half means the defence is under less pressure overall.

The pre-season gloom and League Cup failures are forgotten now. The team is playing great football, creating a lot, conceding very few and winning games. There is also a decent player, desperate to get in the team in just about every position, which is a fantastic position to be in. I don't think we have to be be too hard on the chances/goals ratio issue, as Lee J is obviously encouraging players to shoot far more than previous managers. A lot of our shots are blocked, simply because he wants us to keep having a dig, which is fine in my books.
Here is my prediction..."lucky Hibs" who keep getting opposition players sent off will go on a run of games where we score deflected goals. We shoot so often from the edge of the box these days, it's pretty much bound to happen !

We’ve been solid, absolutely solid.
I think most people would describe both our full backs as better offensively/on the ball than defensively but I’m struggling to think of someone getting the better of them this season for a full game.
I think the mobility and fitness of the whole team is a huge plus.
The players and coaching staff need a lot of praise.
Now just for the strikers to score goals. The funny thing is despite us having alot of chances a game for me I don’t think for example Youan and Kukharevych have been able to show if they can finish or not? None of them have had any/many chances where they have a yard to open up and get a decent strike away. Albeit some of that is decision based but it would be good to see them hit a shot and see what they’ve got.

Think we're also on the best current winning run in the league with 4 in a row... and pacing the OF over the last 5... small but significant stats

Definitely. Although Motherwell definitely pinpointed Cabraja as an area to target at the weekend. He tucks in quite a lot and leaves a lot of room in behind and doesn’t have the pace to get back.
I love him, think he’s a terrific signing but definitely a slight weakness there.
