I can't see a thread about it but I believe that was Lewis Stevensons 550th appearance for the club ! What an amazing servant to the club

I know you don't mean it like that, but Lewis is so, so much more than a servant. Our most successful player since the 50s. He's a legendary Hibernian player.

Well done on another milestone Lewis.

By the end of this season, he'll be the only player to have won one League Cup and Two Scottish Cups with Hibs....

Hibernian legend

Still the best left back at the club in my humble opinion but appreciate we must give the young Croatian every opportunity as he has potential

Felt a wee warm glow of reassurance when he came on yesterday

What are the leading appearance numbers?

If he stays fit and continues to get on for the last 20 or whtever when Cabraja isn’t having a great game, he could just about reach the top of the list.

Would love it if he got there but I recall thinking at around the time of his 500th that there’s no chance

Even when he came on yesterday the way he got up to win the headers was impressive.

Brilliant role model and a Hibs legend.

Amazing considering he is not playing in his best position for the vast majority of these games.

Gordon Smith holds the record on 636 appearances.

I can't see Stevenson playing another 87 times for us unfortunately.

Same and it's not even close. As others have rightly said the man is a living legend.

You just knew when he came in yesterday he'd be involved and do well.

I love the guy.

That “young Croatian” is 25 and has made the position his own however there are no issues when you have to call upon someone as solid and experienced as Lewis to see games out or come on for Cabraja when not at his best

So much love for wee Lewy - you just knew when he came on yesterday he would solidify us and he did, won his 1st aerial challenge against someone almost twice his height and that sliding tackle in the last few mins, a total legend

Very rare in this era to make this ammount of appearances for one club.

No doubt a huge role model for the young lads and always reliable when asked upon.

Barring a pretty serious injury I think Paul Hanlon could go on to be our record appearance holder

I don’t mean this to sound as harsh as it might but, all his achievements aside, I was always quite indifferent to Lewis, never thought he was outstanding but equally didn’t give him too hard a time. That was up until April and the Hampden game against Hearts where he single handedly drove us back into that match and was absolutely outstanding, his best performance for a long time, if not ever. Any talk of his current deal being extended beyond the summer?

He won me over during calderwood/fenlon times. He absolutely grafted like **** every week despite team mates like Martin Scott, Matt Thornhill, Garry O'Connor, walking around not giving a ****. Under Stubbs he became so much more. Improved so much.

For professionalism and giving your max for the club , Stevenson is as good as anyone who’s played for us . Made the best of his career , and contributed to some of our greatest ever days. Love the guy. What a wonderful human being too. Deserves everything he achieves.

He’s knocking on the door for that and should manage it this season, I would hope. Three Scottish Cup ties and he’ll hold that record too.

Lewis is a legend on and off the pitch. We are so very lucky to have him at the club. A true role model for any young players coming up. Ever since he broke through at hibs as a teenager he has conducted himself in nothing but a totally professional manner, worked his socks off and stayed away from any off field nonsense and drama.

Another 87 games. It can be 2 minutes a game Lee. Make it so.

It does concern me that we are nearing the end of his time as a hibby.

It’s always nice to hear his voice and see him on the park.

Long may it continue

Hope he hangs up his boots with us, and that day is some way off.

He’s a perfect professional, I’d hate to see him ever play in another club’s colours.
