There’s chat about us organising friendlies during the World Cup to keep the squad ticking over.

Who would everyone like to see us play and why?

For me, I’d love us to play Wrexham, and invite Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny up to enjoy the game and see our new hospitality offerings… maybe share a pint in the Albion Bar.

Think the last game is the 12th November and 1st game back is away to Rangers on the 17th December
Wonder how long the players will have off

There’s actually 3 Reserve games during the break, so still a chance for fans to get a football fix

The women's derby is at Easter Road on 27 November which is another chance to get that Hibs fix.

At present only the West Lower is available, so I'm waiting to see if they open the West Upper which happened the last time we played the game at Easter Road.

Scotland due to play Turkey away on November 16th. Will be confirmed after next weekend’s Euros draw.

Not an official international window so clubs can refuse to release players but I very much hope Porto is involved.

Got no idea how many players with Scottish teams will be at the World Cup but would there have been any mileage in just continuing to play league fixtures as normal?

Teams might be slightly weakened but squads, especially the big two's, are probably big enough to cope.

This disruption to domestic leagues is just another reason Qatar should never have hosted the World Cup.

No top leagues can continue whilst it’s on I don’t think.

Yep, that would be the big miss obviously but possibly compensated for by other squads being weakened? Would also give LJ a chance to rotate his squad.

30 notes to watch teams missing their best players, not the greatest of ideas.
