Lucky for you he won't know what that word means.....
Cadden should have been in before either of them IMO. We lose a right back and midfield player and bring in a CB and a left side player. Hard to explain.

Was wondering the same thing. Think it's quite a common clause, well, in football manager anyway haha.

Yep you would think so. Wonder if it means Tierney injured again

I get the thinking behind calling Doig up. Very unlikely he will play but he's likely to play a part in future so makes sense to give him the experience of being with the 1st team squad for a couple of games. I like Cadden but with the best will in the world he isn't getting that RB spot ahead of Paterson, Hickey or even Ralston or Taylor. In that instance I'd argue exposing a youngster to the set up is better than taking along a 25/26 year old who is unlikely to ever be a regular. Same reason taking Paterson to the Euros as back up to O'Donnell made sense even when people where screaming it should have been Paul McGinn. Paterson has really kicked on at club level since and has slotted into the Scotland team pretty seamlessly.
Gallagher I find more confusing. He's in his 30s, well down the pecking order as a CB and is brought in to replace a midfielder. It sticks in the throat a bit to say it but Barrie McKay probably deserved the nod.

Hopefully we have a clause in there relating to international call ups/caps💷

I agree much of your thinking but Cadden surely has to be ahead of Ralston who gets very limited game time for Celtc and Taylor of course can only play on the left.

Barrie McKay is the Edinburgh Ryan Kent, alot of hype.
When you look at the stats on chances created, goals scored and assist he is barely near the 10 top in the league, he isn’t going to get ahead of Fraser, Christie etc

We’ve lost a right back but Hickey replaces Patterson as first choice on that side which really means we’re losing a left back. Hanley dropped out the other day so we were a centre back short anyway
Unseen work

Don’t know if you saw it earlier but I saw Porteous posted it but it was the top 10 creative players in the league based on the most chances created and secondary chances (basically the pass before the pass that sets up a shot)
The list was as follows as I’m not sure my attachment worked
In order of most to least
Matt O’Riley
Greg Taylor
Callum McGregor
Jota
James Tavernier
Barisic
Porteous
Boyle
David Turnbull
Barrie McKay
So essentially our certain half is more creative than there amazing Barrie Mackay🤣

He literally is in the top 10 creative players. He has a high number of goal involvements since he’s signed from them.
I wouldn’t have him in the Scotland squad but he’s clearly been a great player for Hearts in the league

The way Scotland set up the other night, Doig could easily be back up for Ryan Christie’s role. Wasn’t far removed from an old fashioned left winger in a 4. Which is pretty similar to where Doig has operated for Verona

Less than a centre half isn't great
Only Boyle, Jota and O’Riley have created more open play chances than McKay this season. He’s amongst the top performing creative players in the league.
Porto has excelled at the pass before an assist. We all know how good he is.

It’s a bit of a stretch for anyone to deny that McKay has been great for Hearts. Assists against us in his last 3 derbies aswell. Let’s not kid ourselves
I’m delighted we have Boyle and I’d choose him every time. McKay is the closest thing to peak Scott Allan on the league outside of Glasgow at the moment

Closest as in I'm the closest to beating Usain bolt in a hundred metres out my family. Wash your mouth out comparing him to peak Scott.

Think he is their best player by a distance

We already have cover on the left with Taylor and surely there must be better than Gallagher out there.

According to my Jambo chums McKay looks excellent cutting in off the left but pretty average as a number 10.
So there are circumstances under which he looks a very handy player indeed, and others where he doesn’t.

I thought this thread was about young Josh Doig getting called up to the first team squad for Scotland, well done to him he is going to turn out a real player who will benefit Hibs big time looking after him, way more than John McGinn.
As for any other hertz **** go onto keekback if you want to write about them.

Thought Kingsley would have gotten in before him. Pains me to say it cause ge plays for Hearts but he's a decent player

Kingsley is 28 and is nowhere near Robertson or Tierney.
Josh Doig is only 20 and has so much potential. Trt to find another young left back with his pace, height, appearances and performances.
Only 20 and played around 70 odd games (performing well)
To put that in perspective, John Souttar has played around 150 games and is 26

Can see him leaving and coming to an English club in the summer.
