Think I’d rather poke out my eyes, peel off the skin and roll them in a bowl of salt!

I was playing golf with three Jambos on Monday. They’re all generally good guys and I intentionally didn’t get involved in football conversation. However I nearly fell over laughing when they discussed their team’s potential this season. They all agreed that their team is presently something special and, if they can beat Rangers the next time they meet, which is ‘definitely on the cards’, second place in the league is the least they can expect. :faf:

They’re saying they should buy Hibs and close us down. Third and a cup this season then they’re after Rangers 😂

Or the could lose to Rangers and be in 7th position at tea time.

Funny you say that - Pay back the poppies, pensions, face painters and everything we've apparently stolen and we should still have enough left to leave these ##### in our wake. Even after we've contributed a fair whack to HMRC.

They are not well and are in desperate need of professional help. Buy Hibs with what exactly?

What cup are they expecting to win? The league cup went well for them. Sure one said that they could get 2nd.

Is there a more delusional fanbase? Finish above Hibs for the first time in 500 years and they think they're Real Madrid. In reality there won't be much to split us, them and the sheep come May.

Beat a Latvian mob they had likely never heard of and follow it up with a routine - and lucky - league win and they are world beaters. Funny as before their game in UEFA’s 3rd tier tournament the airplane was getting warmed up for the “Robbie Oot” fly past

If you look at their next 6 games id be surprised if they win any. They have really limited squad depth.

Any further injuries to Craig Gordon, Barrie Mckay or Shankland and they are getting relegated for a 3rd time in last 10 years

A club who are permanently one defeat away from a crisis and one win away from world domination.

Can't really blame them, I'd be enjoying it too.

This is the reality.

Just seven days ago they were wanting the manager gone.

As much as hubris and delusion is part of their make-up at times, I don't see what's wrong with a bit of wild optimism/ambition from a fanbase.

Being in the group stages of a European competition, mostly (and winning whilst there). Returning domestically to secure a convincing away win to go back into third would also be nice.

It doesn't do any harm to acknowledge where they are, if anything it adds extra juice to our win over Aberdeen on Saturday and reigniting our chances of it being us next year.

Watched the Motherwell game and they got battered! They are not playing that great and obviously neither are Aberdeen. Fingers crossed we have turned a bit of a corner and can secure third. Could do with getting ahead of pack before start of next year when Hearts won’t have European distractions

Hearts got a tough run coming up, we need to take advantage because they will drop plenty points during it.

Rangers next game, then Killie in between the two Fiorentina games, followed by Aberdeen away then Celtic.

Hearts fans are halfwits with a sense of their own worth massively outweighing their trophy haul over the last 60 years.

IIRC, they are the team with most relegations over the last few decades as well?
