Surprised no thread yet about the guy’s performance but being honest, I didn’t think he was the real deal!!

Wasn’t helped at all by the east stand linesman refusing to make a decision the whole game

Or the west stand linesman ignoring a handball in the box.

Agree with everyone so far, his inexperience was plain to see. Just as well we won!!
However, only one of you has ‘bitten’ at my poor attempt of humour. :greengrin

He missed the big pen decisions, but some of the fouls he did give were very strange tae. Gave a foul against Newell on the right touchline in the second half, that wasn’t even close to being a foul. I dunno what he saw?

You should have mentioned his name in the OP.

Surprised he didn’t give more decisions to us given he must be mates with Kensell from the tanning salon.

He won't get any celtc rangurs matches to hone his skills. He's got a long way to go.

He was hopeless, the worst refereeing performance I’ve seen in a while.
In his defence - it was a tricky, niggly sort of game and he had a lot of calls to make.

Awful today. The handball and Joe Newells “foul” in front of the east were shocking decisions. Missed plenty in the second half as well.

Ach!! That was all part of the “game”. LOL
That aside, it was the first time I’d seen him (apart from every weekday on STV at 2pm) and given his ‘experience’ from previous seasons, he looked as though he’d never picked up a whistle before!

Some harsh comments on his performance. I thought he looked the real deal.

I'm not sure what sport he's a referee in, but he looked like he'd never even seen a game of football before.

He's a dreadful referee. Absolutely woeful.

Aberdeen players had him sussed out early. Any contact with a Hibs player throw yourself to the ground and you win a foul. It was ridiculous how many time this happened. Cheating? conning the Ref Mr Goodwin?

When is time wasting going to be punished early in games? Their keeper (and most other keepers who come to ER) waste ridiculous amounts of time and it go unpunished which means it keeps on happening. Deal with it early and that crap stops

100%. Booking first time they do it puts an end to it. Instead we get the "look at me dealing with it" panto nonsense with the ref pointing to his watch and making a show of speaking to the goalie without actually doing anything about it.

I really thought this would stop when McInnes left
It seems to be ingrained in the Aberdeen style
Then Goodwin tells RP to stop cheating and play the game properly
Anyone who tried to play football properly in front of Goodwin in his playing days usually ended up in a heap as Goodwin received his yellow/ red card
