Was just watching hibs 50 goals v hearts on youtube, some great viewing with some fantastic players such as Sauzee, Latapy, Mixu, Archibald, Zitelli etc, then saw Paco Luna, all those years and I didnt know his full name was Francisco Javier Aguilera Blanco 🤣

Yep Im bored 🤣

He scored twice for us in a euro game that we won 3-2, sadly we lost 4-3 on aggregate ,Anyone know the team ? No cheating mind:greengrin

Was at both games against AEK, he also missed a “sitter” in the last couple of minutes that would have put us through.

What a wonderful full name Paco has.

On AEK and original game date in Athens
Man Utd also played in Athens that week.(or should have)
So direct flights from UK to Athens were sky high (pun intended)
I got 2 weeks SC on the island of Santorini(from Newcastle) for less than direct flight to Athens.
Game was on my 1st week.Had ferry and hydrofoil booked to sail to Athens
Then of course the 9/11 tragedy on the Tuesday.
Enjoyed Santorini, but missed the re arranged game.
A mate, like others who could afford it,just stayed in Athens till the rescheduled game.

History has not been kind to Paco, as it wasn't and never had been a sitter.

Suppose that's how close he was to being a legend though.

Yip, not the sitter it was made out to be. Was a great chance mind. The full time whistle went straight away too!

It was a sitter. He was 5 yards out and it was right on his head.

Probably six yards tbf. But was a sitter - free header and he headed it into the ground rather than towards goal
