With McClelland away on loan, here's our squad until as things stand. I've ordered by likely first choices, though this is of course up for debate. Long-term injured are in italics.
GK: Marshall, Dabrowski, Schofield
RB: Cadden, Miller
LB: Cabraja, Stevenson
CB: Porteous, Hanlon, Bushiri, Fish, McGregor
DM: Kenneh, Doyle-Hayes
CM: Magennis, Newell
AM: Campbell, Henderson
WM: Boyle, McGeady, Tavares, Mitchell
ST: Nisbet, McKirdy, Youan, Melkersen, Kukharevych, Bojang

After the international break we should see him back in action. A few development team games perhaps first to build up match fitness.

Thanks mate . Really feel like he's missing link to our midfield and will massive player for us to get back into team hopefully he gets a run of games injury free too.

That would be a huge boost though we've been here before and it hasn't went to plan. Mitchell also a mystery. Would be good to get another update on the injured players - McGeady and Nisbet shouldn't be too far away after the international break.

Gosh really ? how insightful. I must admit I don't think I've heard mention of any mutterings about our midfield up until now...just as well you mentioned it.
I mean obviously Newell was man of the match and the match winner in the last game...oh and Campbell is our top scorer....errm....oh yea when Magennis is fit he's usually our best player....oh and Kenneh is a highly rated young player who generally got better with each game he's played and we signed him from Leeds whose supporters were gutted to see him go..then of course there is Doyle-Hayes who works very hard, has a very good pass completion rate and is certainly as good as 90% of midfielders playing in the SPL outside the Old Firm and finally we have Henderson who has obvious talent, gets in the box well and just needs to physically assert himself a bit more and start taking the chances he is working hard to create....but yea apart from that...just waves of nausea

There’s a three out of the 6 that few wish to see play together as a unit, and I suspect Lee Johnson has now accepted that, but the challenge is finding a blend that works with 6 individually good players. Magennis will hopefully be the key that unlocks the midfields potential.

Campbell is quietly becoming a threat and if there was any justice he’d be getting the benefit from the fannies who sit around me. Newell has put in some MOTM performances and getting forward. Kenneh playing well. There’s some tweaking to be done but ‘the boak ‘ is surely a bit strong.

It’s a turn of phrase commonly used unless you actually think I get the boak, when somebody says ‘gives me the fear’ I don’t actually think they get scared.
Kenneh-indifferent start
JDH-started well and got his contract extended, been average since
Newell-inconsistent for too long now
Magennis-more holidays than football games in last year, can’t be relied upon
Campbell-Has improved on last season
Henderson-Don’t see it
Mines is just one opinion of many thousands, don’t think it matters too much what I think

For me the only one of the current midfielders who you could say hasn’t contributed ANYTHING is Henderson and he needs dropped. The rest of the midfield is still looking for the right balance but there’s definitely some recent improvement IMO.

Sadly I agree. I’m just not seeing it with him at all.
Maybe McKirdy can play in the no.10 role?

I don’t think you are far off with your opinions.
Midfield was clearly the issue that needed fixing. Relying on a guy who’s been injured for most of his time at Hibs and a 19yr old with negligible first team experience is high risk.
