Interesting how they say they can't compete as every other team spends so much more..
I can't recall the daily record doing a cost comparison in the SPFL as to why no other team can lay a glove on the gruesome twosome.
The absolute double standards are amazing, yet not surprising as it will highlight the gulf between the top two and the rest

it will be all the other teams in the leagues fault for not being competitive enough of a challenge for them every week.

:agree:There is someone on Twitter who did a comparison between UCL teams budgets and compared that to Premiership teams budgets. It showed that outwith the 'big' teams i.e. EPL, La Lega and Ligue 1 teams, the glasgow arse cheeks are on a par and just slightly below other non big league teams (I think the comparison on last night was Ajax's player budget is 7% more than the huns). The same comparison carried out on Premiership teams show celtc and rangers average 7-10 times the player budget for other teams in our league. The they want to look at disparity of budgets they should look closer to home.

I also noticed that PLZ soccer were lamenting the 'quality' of our league and how it is so detrimental to the glasgow arse cheeks. I was good to see someone point out that the quality of the league was never raised when the huns reached the final last season or when they do well in Europe, it is always down to just them and not the league they play in when that happens. I really hate those two teams and hearts too of course :greengrin

One minute they’re highlighting the financial gulf in Europe and the difficulties that brings them the next they’re fawning over “Gio” and “Ange” when they’re banging on the goals in a league crippled with financial disparity.

The advantages the financial gulf in Scotland that both Rangers and Celtic enjoy is never of much interest to the media. Or to those of Old Firm leanings.

Now they know how every non-old firm team in the league feels.
No sympathy for them what-so-ever.
Just shows what a real BIG team looks & plays like

Apologies for the DR article  but Jim Goodwin saying what a lot of the players, managers and fans of the non-OF clubs are thinking:

He does put it very well. Probably exactly how the rest of us feel about it.

"I always find it funny when managers from either side of the Old Firm come out and talk about financial gulfs.

"I mean, welcome to the world of the other 10 Scottish Premiership clubs."

Good for Goodwin, but on the other hand that rag best ignored

I can’t get over just how inversely proportional Goodwin’s soundness as a punter is to his on-field character.

Kudos to him for saying it although he is saying the blindingly obvious.

Agreed, but sometimes certain people need to be reminded of the blindingly obvious.

Celtic and Huns publicly crying foul over financial dispartity is just another reason for supporting their opponents in Europe :greengrin They don't do irony.

Great comment from Goodwin.

It's always the same when the old firm get pumped in Europe about financial gaps.

Would be great if a team was able to pump millions into a team to finally stop the old firm. Oh wait someone has tried 😁

We was beating them more than they did I think when it was a level playing field with Hibs and the Huns

If only someone pointed out the reason for the financial gulf in Scotland is down to both clubs harnessing bigotry and each giving a safe haven to their fans to spout their poison. Not all old firm fans are bigots and possibly not even 50% are but the vast majority of bigots will cling to one or other of them.

I’d say bigots easily make up over 80% of the Rangers support. Possibly more.

Even the ones you think of as being decent sorts will always at some point let the mask slip.

I wouldn't want to suggest an overall percentage but my experience of Celtc fans isn't much different.

There’s something very satisfying about them having to play teams that have 100 times their budget and refs that don’t give a **** about doing them the slightest favour.

This. It's just under the surface of even the outwardly normal huns. It's a highly infectious poison.

It’s also that they collude with each other to grab as much of the available pie as possible and don’t understand that growing the game in Scotland and the competitiveness of the top division would be beneficial to all.

It's rather amusing than the league that made them the most successful team in the world is the same league that's holding them back. The two Arse cheeks have been a stain on Scottish football for years

You can't support Celtic or Sevco and not support bigotry. It's what the clubs have been built on. It's what they are.

What chance does Scottish football have of sorting this **** out when we have groups of neanderthals probably not long out of their ****ing nappies doing this ****

I remember seeing a guy who looked in his 60’s dressed in the paramilitary style parka (a one size too small) walking with Green Brigade folks to Easter Road before a game.

Hibs fans were pointing and laughing at him.
