Turkey threatening to attack Greece over some islands .
Both in NATO so what would happens if Turkey actually did launch an attack on them .
How does NATO respond to a war between 2 of its members

I think Truss would naturally lead the Western world to avoid conflict

I doubt they will but there would be the chance of expulsion for the aggressor and both really don't want that. Will be posturing hopefully

Maybe that nice Mr Lavrov could help her out again?

NATO is a defence pact, if Turkey invades Greek islands, no matter the dispute over them, then NATO would defend Greece and Turkey would be seen as the aggressor. Also as Greece is a member state of the EU and Turkey is not, the EU would be have to defend Greece too.

Does the EU have a military defence pact? I wasn’t aware of that existing.

Pretty sure it does. Turkey won’t act against Greece though.

The mutual defence clause, so yeah. I think that includes helping by all means at their power, intertwined with the UN Charter Clause 51(the right to self defence)
