Development loan means he still trains with us in his off days from FC Edinburgh and can play for us in non-senior matches.

I thought delferriere was at FC Edinburgh?

I think part of the reason for sending him there (rather than, say, a full-time team in the Championship) was so he could still train with us for part of the week and play in some of these games.

I’m not sure about that
I’m a bit concerned where our young aspiring players will get game time
Players like Megwa, McIntyre, Blaney etc. you’d have thought these guys would be the 1st on the team sheets
They’ll be playing in the Champions League qualifiers in a few weeks. Unless I’ve missed something, they don’t seem to have player fora while
Players like Delferriere and Balde are playing most weeks

was there with a mate who’s lad plays for United. Mostly loan players with a few u18s.

what’s the score with the cards, was it 5 or 6 we got, a couple for dissent too seems to be a bit of an issue with composure/temperament

I’m really starting to get confused by B team, reserve team, development games.
As far as i’m aware B team got beat by Brechin, so they are out their cup comp, this was reserve league today.
I’m presuming development team will play friendlies now, with mostly players that are not eligible for normal under 18 games.

He plays centre midfield, we’re he is always very good, however he often gets put wide, to accommodate others, which doesn’t suit his style.

I didn’t think we had a ‘B’ team. The team that played in the trust trophy is pigeonholed as a B team cos all the premiership teams are the same.

So B team gets 9 league games and 5-7 League cup games per season along with the 1875 league which I think is around 10 games. So 25 games plus some guys playing on loan too. 2 games for under 19s in ECL at least and then regular under 18s league and cup. Plus against the under 23 sides from England

Agreed. Thought Hibs were very poor. No style of play. Loads of experience & first team players, McGregor, Stevenson, Bojang, Tavares, Miller. A very young Utd side knocked the ball about well & thoroughly deserved a point.
Bojang poor. Tavares impressive 2nd half, but body language & effort 1st half not good. Balde looks a good prospect. Always showing for the ball & wanting to play on the front foot. On loan at East Fife & doing really well there.

Bojang looks like a bloke who won a raffle to get a game. I don't think the cultural shock of running about in a field near Tranent would make his general play look this bad.

On a side note the wind - at every game I've attended at East Mains - is strong and consistent. Doesn't help passing and the game in general at all. And I know we live in a windy country but that place is a micro climate for sure.

Agree all the pitches are of a superb standard, but surely when it’s windy the could play on the bottom pitch which has some trees protecting it.
Bojang was a punt that’s went wrong, now that we have numerous choices at centreforward, he will not feature for the first team, i can’t believe how off the pace he was against dundee united youngsters.
