Thought it would be interesting to keep on top of the goals and assists stats this season as sometimes they’re overlooked and some places don’t record them too accurately.

As it stands, I’ve got it as

Goals - All comps

3 - Campbell
3 - Newell
3 - Doidge
3 - Henderson
2 - Boyle
1 - Kenneh
1 - Melkersen

Assists - All comps

3 - Youan
2 - Henderson
1 - Doidge
1 - Newell
1 - Melkersen
1 - Campbell
1 - JDH
1 - Cadden

Midfielders scoring alot more under LJ than previous managers.

Shows were desperate for our strikers to start scoring, hopefully McKirdy, Youan and Kukharevych can help us there.

Also can see why Henderson is playing with his, the crazy thing with him imo (and it was the same last season) is he could easily have another 4/5 goals to his name already. Hopefully he gets that consistency.

Good shout. Had been thinking it would be a good thing to keep track of.

At the moment we're averaging 15.5 shots per match (league), which is decent, but conversion rate of only 6%, room for improvement.

Yeah he does, assuming the OG is from the game in Perth but Campbell was given that.

The stats are very different when playing better opposition. Henderson has been very poor in the league but still could have scored a few. Our finishing is generally pretty poor and needs some work

Talking about stats, I was looking at Marshalls yesterday, and noticed he has faced only 12 shots so far, the fewest behind the Glasgow two. Which might be due to the games where the oppositions been reduced to 10 or 9, so they go into their shell, but also shows our much maligned defence has been protecting him, perhaps helped by defence minded midfielders in the middle?

Just another way of looking at it.

Your stats aren’t correct.

The opposition have had 58 attempts on goal.
18 of these attempts have been on target.
Marshall has saved 12.
6 goals have been conceded.

I’m not sure anyone could have watched us against St Mirren or Hearts and claim he was being well protected by the defence - he was protected by poor finishing from our opponents.

For all the criticism of the midfield they’ve actually started to chip in between them which is what was lacking all last season.

We desperately need someone to make that number 9 position their own and start scoring with a bit regularity.

Some of the stuff that Lee Johnson promised has yet to materialise - high press for example. But he did talk about flooding the box and I think we’ve definitely improved there.

A number of our goals and chances we’ve had 4 or 5 bodies in the box. Night and day from Maloney and that will help the midfielders chip in

Decent from Youan and I think adds more weight to the idea he’s not a central striker.

Looks infinitely better out wide imo.

McKirdy looked like he could be handy through the middle, but ideally we could do with this Ukrainian boy being a decent pivot for the two wide men before Nisbet comes back.
