In two minds about going today. Early kick off has thrown a spanner in the works. I’m two minds about watching my son play football at a slightly later time. Contemplated taking my twelve year old daughter as I’ve got a spare ticket but don’t think it’s the best atmosphere for her. Of all the teams we play in the league really don’t like Rangers games. Brings out the worst in both sets of fans. No doubt we’ll get no decisions in our favour either.

I’m saying that I’ll be at Easter Road for kick off!

You never know with these games, I don’t think the atmosphere will be that bad at 1230 on a Saturday. If you have the means to go, go. At 12 I’m sure your daughter will be absolutely fine

Your daughter will have a great day when we win 3-0!

If you are going go early before the crowd builds up. I know what you mean, walked down London Road and Easter Road season before last for a night game and there were loads of Rangers fans walking the same way. In amongst there was a large contingent being escorted from their bus by police. The atmosphere walking down and at the game was sheer poison. I was with my partner and she hated it (not the game itself). I remember thinking I was glad I never had the kids, it was toxic.

Depends where and when you are getting in to the ground though. Like I say go early, and being an early kick off should see it being more calm.

My lad plays Sunday so no dilema for me

I don't think you'll miss much by not going, may as well watch your son play football. Then again, I took a similar approach to the semi final last year. :greengrin

I'm inclined to agree that these games are the worst in the football calendar.

A few seasons aback there was a midweek tie at Easter Road. Might have been near Christmas. We’d parked at Meadowbank and cut through to Easter Road which was a bad idea with being threatened and the like by the Rangers fans. Police stood and watched.

Maybe just in a bit of a mental health funk as well. Who knows?

Could be mate, I'm not feeling anything today but will be there. You'll be absolutely fine 💚

Kids’ football is brutal. Go to the game :greengrin

FWIW, i just woke from a dream where we had another last gasp equaliser, sparking wild scenes in the stands.

In saying that, the josh was scored by Matty Jack so now I don’t know what to think.

Along with the Derby best games of the season for me. We also tend to give them a lot of problems on the pitch.
Go for it.

Brilliant games, if the team put a performance in.

Big atmosphere, a million times better than the majority of our league fixtures.

Come on Hibs.

Buzzing for this one. I believe LJ when he says we are going to have a go and attack them. It could easily fly right back in our faces but on the other hand it could be a special game.

The pace of Boyle and Youan will be enough to cause any team problems and there are few better feelings in football than getting one over on the old firm.

I woke up in a miserable mood too. A bit hungover. Boys training first thing and then logistical nonsense trying to get him and me to ER without a car, backs giving me gyp so I’m going to be uncomfortable on those seats.

I think I might shout profanities at Newell for the full 90 minutes and then post about what a **** he is on here afterwards to cheer myself up.

I don’t do Rangers games any more.

Not good for me.

Last time I was at a Rangers game I was close to running onto the park and smacking someone, and that’s unusual for a guy with a relatively chilled out demeanour. After I’d left, and when I was on my way down St Clair Street a big cheer went up that didn’t sound like a goal or similar and it was when that young chap went on and “confronted” Tavernier so I guess I’m not alone.

Horrible atmosphere, thousands of bigoted morons who are given free reign to spew what they like, the area around our home ground is unpleasant before and after the game and our club are complicit in facilitating it all. There’s normally some sort of media pantomime for days after each game as well.

No thanks.

A mate is coming to pick up my season ticket later this morning.

Still hope we absolutely crush them though.

We tend to do better in the underdog role, I'm hoping that's the case today.

These games make me glad to be alive.

If I’m ever tempted to take the easy path in life I’m reminded of the times that we’ve turned the Old Firm over. The cup wins against Celtic in the 70s sandwiched in between some hammerings, the 4-0 game against the Cream Buns with Scotty imperious, that amazing day in May six years ago.

Facing up to adversity builds character. I’ve tried to bring my two boys up to be brave, to feel the fear and do it anyway. And as a dad, you can only do that by example.

Good to hear that you are going to the game. I’m absolutely buzzing.

Think it was Pretty Boy who wrote that this season is going to be a roller-coaster of emotions. Four league cup games and three league cup games so far have confirmed that view. Project Hibs is still very much at the early stages.

Today could be a drubbing! However, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a close game. I really cannot see us winning and the record books tend to confirm that we rarely beat them at Easter Road - since 17th September 2006, we've won three, drawn seven and lost fourteen. Think all three wins were whilst we were both in the Championship too, so haven't beaten them in the SPFL for almost 16 years.

Yes, I suppose, I'm not looking forward to the game either, but I'll be there.

I used to love them. Especially Ibrox, funnily enough.

And there's no better feeling than turning them over.

Don't know if it's a "being a parent" thing? Having a 4 year old makes it a bit harder to justify acting like a 4 year old myself?

Either way, I don't miss it and I'm sure I'm not missed.

He's here!

Having kids is also a game changer for me. The last time I went to a Hibs v Rangers game was the 2016 final. Used to go all the time and especially to the games at Ibrox when I lived in Glasgow. It's not a family fixture tho.

Just hope those guys in the east stand keep their lighters and coins in their pockets and eat their chips.

Can't stand it when the journos in the west point their fingers at us and ignore the bile from the OF.

Really don’t like the look of that line up, Hanlon at left back?

Unless it’s 343 with Campbell wing back.

Either is equally as terrifying

Looks like a classic 5-3-2 from the Stubbs days. Campbell LWB.

Ended up going to the game but wasn’t fully fit. Pounding headache and felt weak. Ended up leaving early to get home for a rest. Feeling a bit better.

Now I’m two kinds of I should have missed the game as I left before the end!
