Ive seen enough of our midfield to see that none of them are comfortable enough on the ball to come deep collect the ball from the defence and then have the vision to pick out more than a square pass to start attacks.

Their is one player who is avaliable on a free who could do all of this Dylan Mcgeouch, surely its worth the gamble since hes on a free ?

Let's be clear McGeouch is most definitely not overrated and 'he was only good because of McGinn' is unmitigated nonsense. He was a fantastic player for us and a big part of our Scottish Cup success and successful return to the Premiership.

He's not what we need now though albeit he would still be an upgrade on what we have for the role he does play.

Wouldn’t matter anyway. Tried already this season to come back, but club/Johnson not interested apparently. In a good shape and real desire to get back in somewhere if not with us. Hopefully not a long wait for him. Great player, great guy.
