Any news on the injury - looked like could have been ligaments so hopefully not.

Also, lots of bumping of gums when he was in the starting 11 for the derby (mine included) however thought he played well and got stuck in well.

Suffers from the Campbell, Newell, JDH collective were it doesn't work. Individually they all have something to offer. Josh has great physicality and is one of our centre mids that does get into the box and beyond the striker. Obviously young still aswell and deserves our support

Looked like knee ligaments by the way he walked off the pitch. Speedy recovery to the lad.

Would love him to succeed at Hibs and I thought he was decent the time he was on the pitch on Sunday. Still don't think our midfield is anywhere near good enough though. Not enough directness and urgency. The ball is constantly played backwards or across the pitch.

On Sunday the midfield was actually missed out completely, by defenders playing the long ball constantly.

I wasn’t a fan last season at all, probably not many people as critical of him as I was.

Happy to give him a clean slate this season though so looked at the positives of him starting and was happy to give him the benefit of the doubt. At the game I was critical of him as I felt it was another anonymous performance from him. From watching the highlights back though I can see he did contribute so I was probably harsh and likely guilty of not giving him the clean slate I said I was going to, although it’s also possible the couple of things that made the highlights give a false impression of how he did overall.

In summary, I’m not really sure if I think he did well on Sunday but I hope his injury isn’t bad and he goes on to have a good season with us.

Thought he played well on Sunday, lots of good combination play down the right with him, Melkersen and Cadden.

That spell was probably our best of the match and Josh was doing fine with Melkerson and Cadden getting behind Hearts and creating chances.

Yes, agree! Individually. I think they are good players with good moments. Campbell would be a lot better playing alongside better players. His energy and willingness to get into the box should be admired.

Yes, agree. If only we could get a couple of better quality midfielders then I think we would be in a much better position.

Surprised we haven’t heard any update from the club on his injury (unless I’ve missed it). Looked in real pain hobbling off on Sunday.

I thought he was having a good game too - getting stuck in and involved in a few attacking movements.

It's actually insane players need to walk off the pitch with serious injuries. Stretchers should be on.

All the best to him. Had started this season brightly and hopefully it’s not too big a setback.

He could barely walk. I'd be surprised if he wasn't out for a while

I don't think its too bad

I was surprised by how sprightly he was moving after the game as walking off he looked in a bad way

Campbell has done well this season whether he is the answer in midfield not sure certainly gets stuck in which is what you need in Derby games .
Hopefully injury not to bad , I though the slow walk off the park was more due to letting Boyle come back from warming up and get stripped to come on .

I thought Josh played pretty decent on Sunday and got himself about the place. Of course I wish him a speedy recovery.

However, this will open a door to someone else where they can come in and cement a place in the starting 11. I'd like to see Dylan Tait be that guy.

Some people may disagree but I feel there's definitely a place in the squad for Campbell. He's versatile and although he never puts in spectacular performances he is a steady option that can fill many positions if required. He's already played at LB, RB and in midfield this season and done fine.

Not a starter every week but definitely shouldn't be let go. I hope he recovers quickly and is back to prove some doubters wrong

I don't disagree with any of that.

Waiting on scan results.

You’d have to imagine that’ll mean at least a couple of games.
