Appears to have signed for some Local Australian team on a short term deal. What a waste of talent very telling that no one even with in the lower leagues in Scotland was willing to take a chance on him.

The change of scenery seems to have done Jason Cummings the world of good.

A few months away with the sun on his back and away from all the temptations of home might be just what he needs.

Tbh I find it hard to criticise him for this move. He's obviously lost his motivation in the last 2 or 3 seasons but he seems to have been working hard this summer and making a move across the world to get a game suggests he is serious about stil wanting to play. I assume the plan is to try and put himself in the shop window and pick up another club after these 2 games are done.

There is a very big difference between the A League which Cummings plays in, and the much lower League Griffiths will be playing in.

Based on my opinion after watching the A League for 19 years, and having watched Leigh Griffiths, as much as I can, over about 10 years.

Jason Cummings went from not quoted at Dundee to rave reviews at Central Coast Mariners, and I’d expect Sparky….as long as he gets his head down and gets fit…..to do likewise over here.

Awck good luck to him, hope he does well. As others have already said, perhaps getting away from Scotland is the best thing for him football wise. Trouble with leigh was that clubs here were probably put off by a lot of the off field nonsense that surrounds him. Fresh start somewhere abroad where there's less media focus on him might just be exactly the thing he needs.

Real shame he let things slide the way he did though. In his day he was some talent. Some of the goals he scored were just phenomenal. Could have had such an incrediable career for both club and country if he'd just kept away from the nonsense. I understand he suffers from a lot of mental health issues which is obviously not his fault but there was other stuff in which he could have avoided.
