Martin Boyle, who is hopefully about to become a World Cup star (now where have I heard that phrase before) is undoubtedly now our most expensive signing ever.

We've brought in experience in the shape of Marshall, Cabraja and McGeady, and we've been investigating heavily in the future too.

Surely there's no one still doubting Ron Gordon's intentions for the club?

Is there?

I still don't think hes especially competent, and really hasn't done that well before now.

They've done very well here, but its about consistently making good decisions to take us forward.

He has probably made many mistakes in his career too but then I would assume Farmer done likewise.

Football is a totally different animal as Ron has found out with the amount of grief that has been thrown in his direction recently. He knows he has made mistakes and hasnt hidden from them, he has put his hands up and acknowledged them.

Hopefully the support get behind him and his team as well as the players, this signing is at least a step in the right direction, onwards and upwards

Hibs have finished third once in 15 years is it?

Folk jumping on Ron with thinly veiled xenophobia and suspicion of the outsider has been embarrassing since day one. The guy has done what he said he would. I hope he gets rewarded for his investment with success. Either way he's done his bit.

There is much more to running a successful football club than investing a bit.

No doubt. Investing "a bit" certainly helps though.

Who do you consider to be successful football clubs and what qualities do you think those running them have / had?

I’m sure Ron doesn’t spend a penny on the players, he spends it on the club and facilities and the like

Still think he’s had a rough time from some of the fans
