If family sections were based in the west then they wouldn't be seen as much on Televised games....

Would love to see a safe standing area behind the goals in the FFL.

Move the families so they can’t be seen on TV? I don’t understand the benefit of not seeing what I hope are happy families attending games to support their heroes and team in general.

Did you not say you weren't buying a season ticket yourself? Bit rich to start then complaining that those that do don't always go.

Disclaimer: you may have bought one since I last saw you post about it in which case I retract :greengrin

Na I’m not getting one this season because of work commitments. Work more weekends now than I’m off unfortunately.

I’ll still be getting a ticket to go when I’m not though

I think the number of season tickets sold probably outweighs 2 or 3 sections though.

And why should someone who has (for example) had great seats at the back of one of the new "non family" sections have to move seats?

The idea some are putting out there that it's only the ffl that will have empty seats is an absolute nonsense as well btw.

On a normal match day there are gaps all over the stadium but when a match is “sold out” like Sundays has, it tends to be the FFL that usually has the most noticeable gaps in what’s meant to be a sold out stadium

I’m not really sure pointing that out is a massive crime, just think it’s looks a bit ****ty.

Deary me … Its a family section , that means that its far more likely that certain members of a family group wont make it every week. Big deal , the seat is sold .. Why do you even care?

I’ve posted a few times now about my opinion on it.

The fact the seat is sold is by the by, I reckon it looks better and provides a better atmosphere when bums are on seats.

The Scottish cup derbies at ER and the natural order are the games that come to mind for me when the stadium was a proper sell out with actual bums on seats and the atmosphere was brilliant.

Some people have an opinion on it and other people don’t care either way, and that’s alright.

It's a perfectly reasonable thing to discuss IMO, you want the club and ER to be shown in the best light when we're broadcast on TV around the UK - some are less sensitive to that and that's fine, don't think anyone is being criticised for their decisions. Sounds like the ticket exchange is a win win for all and will help ameliorate things a bit on Sunday.

The ticket exchange is outstanding.

Couple of exchanges when my daughter can’t go and it essentially pays for her next ST making it basically free football.

Yeah a big fan of the ticket exchange.

If only we sold out more often but it’s still good.

I reckon we would sell more ST if we sold out more often and demand was there as fans wouldn’t fell like losing money if missing games.

I’m not sure, I suppose the releasing your ticket for resale attempts to address it but doesn’t work if people choose not to.

I think another posters suggestion of cutting it from the full FFL to 2 or 3 sections could work.

I suppose there’ll be people at club on big bucks who’re paid to come up with these kinds of ideas

Just be ecstatic that the club has managed to rent out every seat for this game. 👍

I have an autistic 9 year old and if I wanted to take her to a game then I would need a slightly calmer space to sit in, the F5 lower offers this.
I just think it's too large a space for the family section, in what should be an atmospheric and intimidating part of the ground.
The West lower, certainly from the tunnel to the F5 stand should be the family area. Kids, parents and old codgers whose hearts canny handle added on time when your one up in a derby.

I’m not raging at all. Just think it’ll look/does look a bit **** when the rest of the stadium will be full and there’ll be plenty empty seats in the FFL.

You can have an opinion on something without being “raging”.

Your first reaction was to be completely negative, rather than praise the support for selling out 3 days before the game.

Completely negative is a bit strong. It’s great we’ve sold out tickets wise, but it won’t be sold out as in every seat occupied on Sunday which I thinks an ongoing problem we’ve got especially in that area of the ground.

I’ve raised a point that a few other posters agree with but other posters don’t, it must’ve been worth a discussion.

But down with any of that sort of thing.

What is the payment and how is it processed / logged?

And is releasing your season ticket an automated thing or do you have to email the club?

Not that it matters for me this weekend right enough as I’m not missing this game for sure!!

You get half the price of the ticket and its kept on your account to use vs other tickets.

Don't have to email, you just go onto the system and hit release.

It provides opportunities for the next generation of Hibs fans to attend at very, very, very reasonable prices. I’m sure my daughters seat works out at around £2.86 a game.

Edit - £2.63, or £2.50 if you include the Norwich game.

But you don’t need a section for that surely? Just make a number of those types of tickets available and allow them to be bought anywhere in the stadium.

You absolutely need a section of the ground. This allows parents to take children to a safer part of the ground. The last thing I would have wanted when I was taking my children was to be sitting beside someone or a group who were pissed and effing and blinding. The whole of the FFL is probably too large for our family area. I would restrict it to the 3 sections closest to the West Stand and then split it from the other 2 sections. They can then be sold as normal match day tickets but i would not allow season tickets in those sections unless it was made in the signing section

That's fair enough; that's your choice.

But there are others, parents and kids, who would prefer to be in the relative safety and comfort of their own dedicated section. Not to have one (and, yes, the size and situation is an issue) risks those kids not being brought.

We do need to figure out a way to fill that section more regularly though. Not sure on the answer.

I think in this day and age, it makes very little difference.

My six year old will be with me on Sunday in the middle section of the east. There are plenty other kids around there as well and I think it’s pretty unlikely that he’ll see/hear much that he wouldn’t hear behind the goals or that he didn’t hear at Perth last weekend.

Trying to move my East Stand season ticket seat to the West and purchase plus 1 for my daughter, looks as though there’s no way to do that until the ticket office opens at 10am tomorrow, supposed to be leaving for Edinburgh then. You’d think there would be a way to speak to someone at the ticket office the day before a derby. Having at least 1 person in there today between 10 and 4 would hardly break the bank🤷🏼
