Getting ready to choose my fringe shows for this year and noticed the Hibs badge on the sponsors and partners page. That’s got to be good publicity for the club (and the absence of any other football club badges in there)

Makes sense. The festival is there biggest arts event in the world, attracting interest from every corner of the globe so having ourselves associated with it can only be a good thing imo.

I know Hertz fans who will be raging at this which alone makes it worthwhile.

I think there’s plans to make the derby a Fringe event

Great stuff - always feel there’s more we could be doing to promote the club during the Fringe.

Good stuff from Hibees.

Next step is to get into all the freshers events at all the Universities and Colleges in the City. Getting as many students coming to the City into the Green way of thinking will be beneficial in the short term by walk ups and then for those that end up staying in Edinburgh (or indeed for those that dont) have them supporting the club thereafter.

Something to put to Kieran power?

Always felt we've missed a trick with the Fringe with he number of tourists it attracts. Well done Hibs.

Only natural that the bohemian and romantic team in the city is a partner of one of the worlds primary arts festivals.

I daresay even if Hearts were interested the organisers would have felt they were a bit off brand.

And possibly a bit worried for any charity funds raised? https://www.hibs.net/image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhDwAPANEAAP///729vVn/yAAAACH/C05FVFNDQVBFMi4wAwEAAAAh/sFodHRwOi8vd3d3LnJ0bHNvZnQuY29tL2FuaW1hZ2ljLwoKQ3J lYXRlZCB3aXRoIEFuaW1hZ2ljIEdJRiBWIDEuMjEKYnkgUmlna HQgdG8gTGVmdCBTb2Z0d2FyZSBJbmMuCgpUbyBzdXBwcmVzcyB 0aGlzIG1lc3NhZ2UgaW4gdGhlIHJlZ2lzdGVyZWQgdmVyc2lvb gp1bmNoZWNrICJPcHRpb25zIHwgQW5pbWFnaWMgY29tbWVudCB mcmFtZSIKACH5BAkeAAEALAAAAAAPAA8AAAI6jD2Zx5EC4WIjW nmqeFIPtElh GnX SiqulUDALyw7LozHM/tdveuw5PlfsAWjvMBtRQYiqnTyKgaBQAh QQJHgABACwAAAAADwAPAAACOYw9mceRAuFiI1p5qnhbbtSF3OB cplQpqrqlADC88Ju6M023G86nZRzD Uot2SiDUmAomsik4VA1CgAh QQJHgABACwAAAAADwAPAAACOow9mceRAuFiI1p5qnhSD7RJYfh p1/koqrpVAwC8sOy6MxzP7Xb3rsOT5X7AFo7zAbUUGIqp08ioGgUA IfkECR4AAQAsAAAAAA8ADwAAAjqMPZnHkQLhYkM8WcfJ0nbtRK KoVeNpZcqqpBYADHAMqy9d166M41ko49F odTsAiqyJI1LZNJwrBoFACH5BAkeAAEALAAAAAAPAA8AAAI6jD 2Zx5EC4WIjWnmqeFIPtElh GnX SiqulUDALyw7LozHM/tdveuw5PlfsAWjvMBtRQYiqnTyKgaBQAh QQJHgABACwAAAAADwAPAAACOow9mceRAuFiQzxZx8nSdu1Eoqh V42llyqqkFgAMcAyrL13XrozjWSjj0X6h1OwCKrIkjUtk0nCsG gUAIfkECR4AAQAsAAAAAA8ADwAAAjqMPZnHkQLhYiNaeap4Ug 0SWH4adf5KKq6VQMAvLDsujMcz 12967Dk V wBaO8wG1FBiKqdPIqBoFADs=

Hertz could sponsor the portable shunkys in George Square.

Obviously not EDI based these days, but that's a great idea/tie up on the face of it. Anyone know how the partnership manifests itself in reality beyond the club logo appearing in the brochure? Presumably is not free to get listed as a partner of the Fringe so interested to see what comes of this partnership in reality.

It varies from partner to partner, but Hibs and the Fringe Society first had meetings about 2019 when Leeann Dempster was still on the scene. Hibs will have probably paid something towards being listed as one.

I'm sure we did, hence the question how does it operate in reality beyond our logo appearing in the brochure

Well, if Hibs want to become a venue then that is up to them, and they would have to apply like any other venue and put together it's own programme. That's one avenue if it wants to have a higher profile. Another would be to pay EFFS more towards sponsorship, but it would still be limited in where that could be advertised.

The Fringe Society produces the programme, markets the festival and offers support to performers and venues. It doesn't control the festival, no one organisation does.
