I see Darren McGregor and the mens development squad are heading down to Dunbar United on Tuesday.

It was a great day out last season but they have recently completed an impressive stand. It’s first come first served for seats but they have 200 in the covered stand with space for a few wheelchairs too and around 100 other seats in benches around the ground.

Personally I’m looking forward to a pie for McKirdy’s butchers in East Linton , they are almost as famous as the Killie Pie according to some of the ground hopper reports. 😁

Was Dunbar playing yesterday? The train goes past the stadium and a game was on. The stand looked nice for the level they are at.

Oops typo! I see the Hibs dev squad have been unbeaten this pre-season. Looks like Darren McGregor has been playing well , personally I’d still have him in the first team.

My laddie is going to be a ball boy for Dunbar so keep an eye out on him running about trying to get his Hibs strip signed

Reckon having him in development team is a stroke of genius

It was visible the impact Daz McG had on the two young CB's either side of him in the Norwich game, assuredly and calmly talking them through the game, helped Blaney beat the high press twice and allowed McLelland to step out with it a couple of times. Really enjoyed watching that unit defend in the second half from high up in the stands.

Does anyone know what time this kicks off?

And is it the development squad or the u18's. Or are they one and the same 🙃

Me and my brother were talking about this yesterday suits all parties, better for the youngsters learning from him in game scenarios and Daz is still playing ready for a call up to the first team if we’re struggling.

Indeed, Daz played a blinder and clearly gave the young lads support and inspiration.......as ever !

Two entrances you can come off the A1 and at the next roundabout go left down Kellie Road and follow the road down. You’ll see the ground there.

If you are going into town first, the most immediate place is the fire station with a walk through to the ground.

Nice wee ground with a 200 seat stand and around 100 other seats on benches around the ground. Their pies are legendary , and only £2 😁

Very welcoming, too.
A number of years ago my grandson played youth games there.
Big Mixu's boy was in the same team one time.
One bitter cold Sunday,i recall.
Dunbar laid on free soup and rolls for us parents and friends.
Mixu loved the home made soup. He had "seconds":greengrin
Aye Dunbar Utd serve their community well.
It was back then a venue/set up for youth teams that was the envy of many Edinburgh and district clubs.

PS

Just my thoughts
Why does our youth football bosses still insist primary school age play in low cold temperatures in winter months at 9 oclock on Sunday mornings ?

More soup, Mixu?

Wonder if this means Oscar McIntyre might be involved on Sat? Certainly impressed LJ on Sunday and Cabraja has yet to feature.

Unfortunately I think if anything this confirms LJ is not planning to play Tait on Saturday.

Disappointed if so.
