2022-23 hibs.net prediction league round 5: Bonnyrigg (League Cup R1, away)

[SHODAN]

The prediction league again comes with admin-provided prizes of £50, £30 and £20 for 1st-3rd place. Rules:


3 points for correct score, 2 points for correct goal difference, 1 point for correct result
Unless you are predicting a draw make it clear whether this is a Hibs win or loss - no points if you just post "2-1" etc with no context
If this is a game with the potential for ET, the final result will count as the correct score, i.e. if the match ends 1-1 in normal time but 2-1 AET, only those who picked 2-1 will score points
Only ONE prediction is allowed - only the most recent will be counted if you accidentally post two, and don't predict separate FT and AET scores as per the above
If you post your prediction (or edit your original prediction) AFTER the game has started then no points will be awarded. Cut off point is ONE MINUTE before the game officially starts according to the forum clock (i.e. 2:59pm for a Saturday 3pm kickoff)
If you post multiple times and delete one of the posts, no points will be awarded - I tally the scores up after the game, so I have no way of knowing whether this was a mistake or not

I've said it before, it should be started a few days before to give everyone a chance, especially those who work. I've seen it put up as late as a few hours before the match.

I appreciate that side of it too :agree:. I think he said it might disappear off the page if posted too early, I don't think there's any chance of that happening if we all knew it was being posted in advance.

I'm never ever going to win this thing, because I always, repeat always, predict a Hibs win. Goes against the grain not to.

Posting on the day of the game only happened a couple times last season and was either if I couldn't get to my PC or was too busy with my actual job. :wink:

If there's a concensus on moving the thread posting date back a bit then happy to go with it but right now I think one day will suit most of us. Either that or we only have one thread for the entire thing.
