What on earth was that all about? Queued for ages to then be searched by some teenager prior to getting in. Then get it in and it’s plain to see they have sold more tickets than there are seats, so forced to stand down the front with some steward in my way for half the match.

Then we leave and get forced to go the long way round back to the car, blocked off by about 5 police horses like it’s the Istanbul derby or something?!

A completely miserable and bizarre experience, made worse by Hibernian.

Welcome to my world, that's par for the course as a wheelchair user.

Par for the course at Falkirk. Same every time we were there in the Championship

Welcome to my world, that's par for the course as a wheelchair user.

I only saw 1 guy in a wheelchair, didn't see any suitable area for wheelchair users to view the game from where I was sitting anyway.

It's something that should be mandatory for all stadiums to have good/excellent accessibility for wheelchair users.

There were at least 3 of us there tonight. Shoved right down the front and can't see a thing particularly near the end when dozens of people decide to come down and stand at the front and block what limited view we had to begin with.

Meanwhile their own fans in wheelchairs get an elevated platform at the opposite end of the stadium with no-one blocking their view.

Shambles.

Really sorry to hear that, not acceptable that they can't have the same for away fans.

The stewards were saying nobody had told them there were going to be Hibs fans with accessibility issues which is frankly bizarre as they were the only ones selling tickets. Tried to say Hibs were at fault. Then told folk that the barriers and advertising hoardings were left over from the Killers gig and hadn’t been removed by the club. Advised people to complain directly to Falkirk on that front.

As for the folk at the front it always happens there. Unallocated seats means that folk turning up late struggle to see seats easily and generally those available are single seats - which they don’t want to take. Numbering them isn’t perfect but it reduces the possibility of widespread chaos like tonight. Falkirk really don’t organise these things well

The stewards should have been better at dispersing people from the areas directly in front of the fans in wheelchairs.

Obviously have sympathy with people who got in but didn't have a seat though, that's not good enough.

It wasn’t that there were single seats, there were none. They had oversold the tickets and delayed fans getting in the ground.

There was single seats dotted about but nowhere near enough to accommodate all those standing at the front. Boy in front of me sat on two seats the whole game, pretty selfish behaviour.

Ok that’s fair. There were seats but they wouldn’t have seated everyone.

It certainly wasn’t people turning up late and refusing to sit alone that caused the issue is what I mean. There just wasn’t enough seats to go around.

Seats in our row and the one behind?

Stewards went round at half time trying to establish how many were free

Not sure how they could oversell tickets. Has that actually been confirmed by Falkirk?

Aye it wasnt great, i had 2 seats next to me and a young guy behind went to ask a steward to clean the seats as they were caked in bird s**t. Seen a guy in a wheelchair continually have to ask folk to move, got that bad he ended up having to sit right in front of the barriers so he could see. Not a great night out

The minute is seen it was unallocated I knew it would be a nightmare so arrived early.

Likely to be one of the biggest crowds Falkirk will get this season , is it easier to organise unallocated seats ? Rather than allocated ones ?

Suprised me they didn’t open some space in one of the other stands for hibs support tbf, especially given the poor home support

I asked the steward why we couldn’t have moved to the section in the main stand in the corner. Her reply was the club refused to let us sit there. I said but the club are happy to take our money without a seat in a overspilled stand.

What is the point of clubs like Falkirk?

No fans, missing stands, a fake pitch, unable to accommodate 1800 visiting fans in a Stadium in middle of nowhere.

Contribute nothing to the greater good of Scottish Football.

as i entered there were a few lads using QR code on phone which wasnt accepted as had already been used and then stewards just let them in. if a load of folk did this may have added to lack of seats - all to save £7 and watch for free although it wasnt worth £7 that performance never mind £12

This stuff is a lot of Tom kite ..bigger clubs could post that about us ..they have been part of football here for almost exactly the same time as us ..they’ve no doubt given people many great memories - and they are deeply connected with their communities..ok. Going through a difficult patch - but they turned us over last night , and I’m sure their fans are buzzing today ..

Aye let's just bin all provincial clubs and have a league with all the big teams like us and the OF and the Hertz and Aberdeen.

I want to know why they didn't remove the big black tarpaulin thing that was covering 100+ seats in the corner of the stand. That would have solved the issue and I bet those seats were actually included in the allocation but nobody thought to remove the cover.

The women steward was clueless too, could easily have moved the wheelchair supporters into the other stand that had an empty wheelchair section , or even some fans into the empty Falkirk section or remove black tarpaulin as folk have said

There is just a lack of sense … seemed to be loads of police too for a friendly , unless I’ve missed something didn’t think we had any bad blood with Falkirk

They behaved like ***** at ER pretty regularly back when they thought they had a pretend derby with us, presumably think we care enough to do the same.

I think you are bang on the money with this observation - would definitely tally with numbers who looked unseated and seats covered up.

They’re pretty unlikeable, to be fair. What was with them singing “oh the hibees are gay” last night?[emoji1787] not heard it in years, I’ve thicker skin than to be offended by it but Jesus it’s like the inhabitants of the land that time forgot up there.

I asked the steward and he told me that all of those seats were broken and couldn’t be used.

Remember going to their ramshackle falling apart ground in 1971 and having to sit on the track as they had underestimated the numbers of the away travelling support for a League Cup Quarter Final

The only bogs attached to the side of the Stand were like the Black Hole of Calcutta and their supporters can only be described as Diet Huns

50 years on not a lot has changed

Stadium an improvement

Edit:

Lost 0-2

Pummelled them second leg at Easter Road and all we had to show for our pressure was a Jimmy Jimmy O’Rourke goal in front of 27000

We beat them in the League two weeks later 6-0 Arthur Duncan scoring four

All those seats, in that particular corner, under the tarpaulin, no other broken seats anywhere in the stand, just those that happened to be in the corner, not likely. :faf:
