It's been announced we've agreed a partnership with FC Edinburgh which includes sending players on loan there, an annual friendly and our womens team will now play their home games at Meadowbank.

Seems like a win win for all parties

Think that statement puts the Brighton question to bed once and for all if there was still any lingering belief we had a link up with them.

Seems like a good link up for both sides and bringing the womens team back to Edinburgh should be beneficial as well.

We definitely had a link up with them. Apart from an article on the Hibs website there's no actual evidence of it though. Probably easier to hope folk just forgot about it rather than announcing wewd binned it so soon

Kensell confirmed the 'link' at one point but also added he had no idea what it was for.

Was always a poor response that from BK - came over as a real “anti - Mathie” jibe . He could easily have picked up the phone to Mathie or his Brighton counterpart to understand what they were seeking to do together and see if it was of value. History now I guess.

Link up with FC Edinburgh makes sense. Particularly to support the development pathway for the youngsters

We're not doing this partnership thing right at all; Brydon should have gone on loan to one of Edinburgh's League One rivals.

Great move for both clubs. What’s the capacity of the new Meadowbank?

Currently 500, down the line it will be 2000ish

With one stand and a capacity of 500 would it not make sense to have the proposed annual Edinburgh v Hibs game at Easter Road. Is there not a low capacity limit for playing league football in Scotland?

We did by loaning players a couple of years ago. Do we not also have an agreement with Civil service strollers too

Edinburgh are going to be building a stand that’s a mix of seats and terracing along the other side of the ground so hopefully by next summer it’ll hold more.

Not so sure. If Edinburgh are trying to attract floaters to their games, they’ve probably alienated half of the city’s football fans. You could argue it would be petty on behalf of Jambos, but we would probably feel the same if the roles were reversed.

I’ve also seen a few comments in the Pie and Bovril forum from one or two of Edinburgh’s already disgruntled fans (I think that might be their entire fanbase) saying becoming Hibs B team is the final straw for them. Overreaction perhaps, but I kind of understand their point.

I'd say that's definitely an overreaction, and not even accurate to what's happened 😀

I see Fonts has signed a deal with them. Could be a good signing.

We can loan them a maximum of three players, they are hardly going to become filled with our players.

They don't want the "floaters". Those Jambos have already got a "special" relationship with Bonnyrigg😉

Is there not a maximum number of players we can loan them? Sure it's 3 , not sure what's in our agreement but I'm sure Hearts could also offer them a couple of players which would benefit Hearts also?

They are going to be in a tough league a very tough league.
