Definitely the wrong spelling but chuffed you started this thread. He was excellent today and think we have a real player on our hands! Buzzing to see more from him.

I forgot how young he is at 19. The year above josh O'connor and callum young and 3 years younger than josh Campbell.
If it was 350 grand as reported, then we are going to make a huge profit on that

It was just the daft wee things today that made him look a real player for me. A wee hip feint near their box that took out two players, willingness to close down and chase every ball, never scared to put himself in for a 50/50, but above all else it was his runs off the last man that impressed me. Made the run time and time again and when the team are used to playing with each other that run is going to be so dangerous.

Thought he was superb, and his run for opener, I loved that, good to see

Thought it was apparent today that as soon as either Stevenson or Cadden got the ball in possession, either Melkersen or Henderson looked to make a run in between the full back and centr half automatically. Gave the Clyde defence no end of problems and that spell between goals two and four was absolutely brutal.
Very nicely taken goal.

Are you on the wind up with that spelling? [emoji23] why not just google it!?
Anyway, really like him and his finish was superb. Give him chances and he will score.

I think he’s a player. Will comfortably get double figures this season IMO.

Looked great coming in from the wide position in the first half, constantly found himself in space as the Clyde defence didn’t pick him up.

Wonder what the ref was saying to him after he did his back flip?

Much better in first half than second seemed better suited to the wide role than playing central on his own.

Going by the highlights and the refs wee smile, it might be a compliment. Or he's maybe saying careful not to injure yourself when doing stuff like that.

He looks physically stronger. Be a different test against St Johnstone and Hearts though with their philosophy on the game.

Looked really good yesterday, he took both his goals in Portugal really well and his goal yesterday too. Some of his movement is top class and he shows a fair turn of pace as well, he still has it in him to miss chances he should get on target, but what striker at this level doesn't.
He still has a fair bit to go, but if he continues to improve we could end up with an absolutely dynamite wee striker on our hands who will leave this club for considerably more than 3 million quid if Hibs play their cards right, in the end what seemed like a fair wedge for the likes of us to splash on a relatively unknown kid could be one of the best investments we have ever made. Nothing is certain, but the signs are good.

Agree with all of this.
I really do fancy Melk to go for a lot of money after scoring a lot of goals for us.
I am excited about his time at hibs

Liked the look of him as soon as he started playing for us albeit it wasn’t hard to stand out as somewhat exciting at that point.
I think he’ll be important for us this season. Is it just me or does he look a bit stronger and more athletic now? Less like a laddie and more powerful about the legs.

Sorry missed this agree re his physical condition.
His skinning of the linesman and celebration were both quality too.

I like the fact that he plays with a smile on his face, and seems to enjoy playing at Hibs. He’s a natural footballer too!
I’m convinced he’ll have a great season, but he’s still young and we need to be patient

He Was unlucky last season not to get more goals than he did last season.
He's had a good few months now to get used to the game so this season will be one for us to judge but so far so good.

He does certainly bulked up in the best way.

Melkerson and Henderson have staked the strongest claims from middle to front so far.

Cadden has certainly been by far the better right back too. I think he is absolute key right now.

Agree but he was off the boil last night as well, looked half a yard off the pace. If he’s fit he plays for me though, unless Miller can prove otherwise. Melkerson starts every week for me, tempo improved and created a lot more chances once he came on, he’s an exciting player.

He wasnt anywhere near his best but definitely played a part in our improvement.
One thing he rarely does is take a step backwards.
