I see Dundee Utd have installed new LED Digit advertising boards at Tannadice running full length of the pitch in front of the George Fox stand.

To advertise their it's costing £800 + vat for 1 minute of advertising.

Wonder how much Hibs are charging? A decent amount of money to be made for Hibs on top of advertising from the big screens and hospitality.

The new TVs that have been installed and the talk of the perimeter LED advertising boards will make a massive difference to the income generated on matchdays and will pay for their selves in no time. Hopefully with more slots to advertise on it will allow smaller business to contribute to the club.

I enquired about sponsorship packages in 2020 to try and help support my club during Covid but the prices were out with my budget for the potential return for niche business.

I find it hard to believe that £800 per minute can be accurate. There has to be more to it than that.

It might be for the season and not just the 1 game.

This is what's on the Dundee Utd site

Ahead of the upcoming 2022/23 campaign, we can confirm our LED pitchside advertising packages at Tannadice Park are now on sale.

Our state-of-the-art LED system, which runs parallel with the touchline in front of the George Fox Stand directly in view of broadcast TV cameras, provides businesses with a truly unique opportunity to deliver key brand messaging to an audience both inside the stadium - with our home crowds averaging 7,000 - and to viewers across the globe.

Your advert will also feature regularly on our social media channels, which possess over 100,000 followers across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, in the background of images and highlights.

"The introduction of a permanent LED system is a massive step forward in our ongoing commercial development," said Elliot Shaw, Head of Commerical at the club.

He continued, "the system will assist in transforming the digital aesthetics of a match day and act as a key revenue driver for the club. This is a great opportunity for advertisers to showcase their brand at Tannadice in an animated and modern fashion."

Prices start at just £800 plus VAT for one minute of advertising

They are a pain when viewing the game imo. Not great for photographers like me either

I have no idea of the cost for advertising... Do you think that's too much or too little?

The ones at Man City's Etihad which have them set up in a way that makes it look twice as tall as normal is really clever yet so simple.

No idea either, but that’s just fantasy figures, I expect like suggested by @kentao that this figure may be for one minute at every home game of the season, that would make much more sense.

If it was say 18 home games that makes it just over £44 + vat per game

£72k per game if sold out for 90 minutes assume you get all boards for that 1 minute. Doesn’t seem right.

Few teams in Germany have had them for quite a while.

They look clever until the camera angle changes then they don’t [emoji1787]

Not to mention that they'll look like they're broken to the majority of fans actually in the ground. But who cares about them eh?

Photographers are a pain too remember and any way the LED boards are slimmer and better looking 😁😁😁

Not sure if it’s common knowledge but my understanding is there going to be two rows of advertising boards at Easter Road. An electric one and a normal one

People were volunteering cleaning up the stadium so the digital advertising boards could be put into place not long ago so im not sure if they have been installed yet. We are getting advertising boards along three stands aswell i think.

The run off around the pitch is looking much better, it's the small things that make the stadium look all the better
