If I have understood it correctly my long term season ticket no longer grants me free access to what was inclusive season ticket access to bar pre match and hot water in loos!
If indeed we are to be required to pay more for access then that is an alarming u turn in ideology.
When as a shareholder and season ticket holder I went along to meet her(Leanne) and the team(management) when she and they we new and team were in the toils ,she was talking about money and I queried who decides what size of the slice of the cake goes to players budget ,compared with coroprate ,admin ,community slices etc etc...I did not get a full answer on that rather a short one on how they spend the slice allocated.
Anyway at that same meeting she mentioned the launch of another new football strip to which she I believe thought would be most welcome, for some it was but one lady stood up and said how on earth with two young boys can she now afford yet another new strip on top of the match day ticket.
It was obvious to me at that point some of those behind the table lived in a different world sometimes and forgot basic foundations of the club...I am pleased to say that did change for the better and everyone took that on the chin although it is not cheap by any means.
So if we cannot afford the extra are we locked out of the hospitality in the stand now?
I have had a season ticket now for years but the last two I have been unable to go physically due to immune issues and covid concerns,so tv access only was my only solution...I am unclear now if that will be granted next season or will Hibs tv be restricted to overseas customers as before..I have asked but got no response.
Anyway it is my choice and so I see my season ticket as a donation to club mostly just now but that is ok for now and I hope to come to some games this coming season if I feel comfortable again my choice.
I am now getting on in years I guess but having had a season ticket since the early 70's I really want the club to get back to its traditional ways ..I did recall paying a small fee to join hospitality in what was the then car park area ....but not such a huge sum as it seems now.

In regards to the live streaming of games, unfortunately Sky have knocked this on the head for next season, it was down to them that we could offer that in the first place and now 'covid is over' (we know it's not) Sky will no longer allow games to be broadcast live apart from the games featured on Sky TV. I have no clue about access to bars, sorry.

This is a new offering in the West. Behind the goals has been gone for years. As for a woman shouting about us bringing out a new shirt that is just bizarre as it's hardly a surprise a new strip coming out

I did email her once asking about, for want of a better word, a 'family ticket'. By that I mean being registered to myself and my wife, as technically I shouldnt give her my ticket to take the kids as it's non transferable. Never got a response

Not a dig btw, merely pointing out that this is something that could help families

Instead of having a go at the guy you could have pointed out that BTG is now closed and has been for a while, I imagine he was unaware for some reason or another.

I don't know what the issue is with a third strip, so long as they all come out at the same time then you tell the kids, there's 3 strips, which one do you want? Being told 'no' from time to time isn't that bad a learning experience for kids IMO and yes, I am fully aware of the pressure kids can put on parents when it comes to such things.

I totally get Hibs trying to maximise income from corporate areas and so far that seems to be working with the newly refurbished areas selling pretty well from what I can see, justifying their approach.

However, I do agree there should be something akin to a public bar where the only criteria for access is a season or match day ticket, like a revived BTG bar for example. I do not think it's a good idea not to have an option available to our less well off or more casual supporters that they can use on matchdays within the stadium, if for no other reason than it would lessen the impression that the only connection between supporters and club the owners really care about is how much money they can squeeze out of us.

Sorry to hear about your health issues.

I'm in a similar boat to you, except its my finances that mean I can't get to games at the moment.

Something I should point out is that the new hospitality offering is in the west stand - not the Behind the Goals bit in the FF. Multiple sources have said there is something in the works for BTG but I'll wait until the confirmation before I get excited about that. I think the club have to put the areas that generate the biggest revenue first, otherwise we risk being left behind, particularly with the huge amounts of money our neighbours will be generating from European football this season.

I think its been confirmed already that the TV set up from last season will not be carried forward.

Hmm not sure how I feel about this without having a go at the OP and the woman raising a point about strips.

Football has changed, the club has changed (as all clubs have), and Leanne Dempster's approach doesn't mean the new owners should keep with that, and not having access to any hospitality area isn't something that surprises me, the club have to maximise their income. What I would be doing would be looking to see if I can afford the new experience, or I'd be looking to see what was available in the area supporter club wise for that pre-match experience.

The woman complaining about the strips, there's a simple answer, and it would also teach the kids a valuable lesson, if you can't afford them then do not buy them, it's as simple as that, it's not the clubs fault to maximise the commercial income. We need annuals strip income, we need as much funds from hospitality, we need everything we can to be able to compete.

Think of it like you are married for years, you eventually split up, you meet a new woman and live together.... she ain't going to let you away with the same stuff your first wife did, times have changed.

Maybe the guy doesn’t check hibs.net every five minutes for updates? I do but I’m a total weirdo.

Manure and un-respectful debate, which is all very debatable.

All good points raised but either the OP or I have been captured by aliens and brought back having been frazzled in the space-time continuum while being dragged backwards through a black hole!

There was absolutely nothing wrong with your post. The OP had an unfounded rant which could easily have been put as a couple of questions. I actually thought your post was relatively restrained.

Agreed. The op was was an absolute word salad of complete dross
Praising the former CEO, yet getting her name wrong, whilst failing to understand she's ultimately responsible for BTG being in the unusable state it's currently in!
Just as well the OP doesn't know about the lift...... 😱

The paid bar only, hospitality option (which Albion Bar will be) has been in existence for nearly 30 years (maybe more). For a couple of years the Edinburgh/Capital Club removed the 2 pricing points and made everyone pay for buffet food but it has now been reinstated with the introduction of the Albion Bar.

Surely the most pressing question is; can I still get my Prawn Sandwiches for free?
