While we wait for any news on the signings front I have a question to the support.

Does anybody know of any Hibee connection in and around Albany Western Australia, either supporter or ex player,?

Random events drive the enquiry.my brother whilst cruising the charity shops in his local area,Albany finds a piggy bank in a turret shape presenting a wall of bricks with a street sign with Easter Road EH7 and a Hibs logo ,strange he thinks will get that and send to my brother but wonders how it got there.

OK bank arrives safely to me about a week later,I phone to thank him and he tells me that very day he was again in the charity shop and low and behold another of the self same piggy bank was for sale.

Just wondered anybody out there know why Albany ,Western Austarlia population 40,000 has become a centre for Hibs merchandising ?

There's quite a big Hibby community in Oz/NZ but that is odd 😃

I will post your question on their Facebook page though and let you know if I get an answer 👍

You an say what you like about El Gordo but a rationed drip feed of Hibs merch into a relatively untapped market spells $$$ to me.

There is a decent sized following in WA(which is a big place) and while we have supporters in Perth, Geraldton and Pinjarra I can’t remember seeing an address that had Albany on it.

Doesn’t mean there isn’t somebody there though….

Items pop up in strange places….I recall a guy in New Zealand went into a charity shop in Enzed only a few months ago and there was a 1985 Strip complete with Insave sponsor logo for sale for 10 bucks.

If only the items could tell their story.

I worked for a short time at Sydney’s main Immigration Detention Centre and used to organise kick abouts for the Detainees…from all over the world.

It was 20 odd years ago….but I did gift a few old Hibs strips to guys from Africa/Asia/Middle East..so if anybody wanders into a charity shop there…..
