As far as I can tell, none from Scotland chosen to represent Scotland again. What a damning indictment of our refereeing system.

Good, they'd be a complete embarrassment.

Good, none of them deserve it.

They’ll be too busy doing their VAR training with the same eyes painted on as they use to ref the games.

I suspect they’ll not be missed.

No penalties to Rangers at the WC then. Gutted.

Shame really. I would have loved to see the English (and other) commentators analysing Alan Muir's performance! ☺

That's what happens when they are all incompetent/corrupt.

Feels like the right decision.

Scottish referees are gash (in all senses of the word)

I couldn't think of anything worse than Walsh, Brother Beaton, Madhun and Co strutting their stuff on the world stage. What a thought!!

No Scottish referees, but for the first time, there will be female referees overseeing matches at a Men's WC. Given the location, I'm surprised that there are female officials.

Stéphanie Frappart from France, Salima Mukansanga from Rwanda and Yoshimi Yama****a from Japan are the 3 female refs.

How long I wonder until we have a female referee overseeing a top flight match in Scotland?

As far as I can tell, none from Scotland chosen to represent Scotland again. What a damning indictment of our refereeing system. Is this because the WC requires refs familiar with the laws of the game?

I suppose it's possible as long as they are members of the Eastern Star at referee HQ in Lanarkshire.....

I think they all know the laws, it's their habit of choosing when to correctly apply them and when to ignore them that's their downfall.....

Given that you have to be from a certain association which has certain links to other associations I highly doubt you'll see that in the near future.

Not surprised - they really are useless so don’t deserve the opportunity.

Next season will be interesting when VAR comes midseason - we will find a way to mess that up I’m sure.

Don’t think the EPL is has managed to figure out the best way to use it yet. Having no replays in stadiums and not hearing the decisions explained is an issue - plus inconsistency of it.
