Going to put my neck on the line and say we're talking to Appleton, Johnson, Mackay and Tomasson. Vote for as many of these as you would LIKE to have at Hibs - this isn't a preferred option poll.

Any of them apart from Mackay

We've tried so many options from the lower leagues in England and managers doing decent jobs in Scotland. I just feel JDT would be something different that we've not tried before, someone with no connections to anything negative involving Hibs, someone we can rally round.

None of them except JDT

Be nice if we had the manager announced before the game on Sunday duff Jimmy style. Kwikfit flyer and jdt abseiling on to the pitch.

Why did JDT leave Malmo?

Certainly got the best record of the 4.

I would be very surprised if MM made the final cut. It would be as tone deaf an appointment as I could imagine, about akin with offering Craig Levein the job.

Personal choice is JDT but wouldn't be upset with any of those four. Appleton probably my least favoured.

Mackay
Appleton

Don't care one way or the other for the other two

Don’t think Mackay is even under consideration. As with McInnes if we’d genuinely been interested I don’t see how us asking for permission to speak to him wouldn’t have made the press.

JDT or we riot.

Somebody who looked like MM was at Hibs v Dundee at Dens, left the Main Stand 3 minutes after Martindale (Dee's next opponents). Could have been Derek Adam tho

JDT would be an exciting appointment in my view. He did well with Malmo and would have the fans onside from the start. From a commercial point of view, I think it would get more season tickets sold than appointing a journeyman from the lower divisions in England. I'm not saying that Appleton and Johnson aren't capable but the fans will be waiting on the proof of that before buying into the appointment.

Clear first choice JDT

Second choice Appleton
Third choice Mackay

And a distant last would be Johnson.

Lee Johnson coming last in the pole. Looks like he’s our man then🤣

Currently the 4 percentages come to 130.03%!!

In that case I’ve picked 4/4. All got good qualities.

JDT - 1st choice by a mile

Appleton an underwhelming second but I can see why we’d go for him
Johnston an underwhelming third but I can see why we’d go for him

Mackay an emphatic no.

JDT but i really dont think he's even in the running, McKay would be my choice over the others, done a good job everywhere he's been.

JDT for me, we need to try something different, and he can maybe have knowledge of good young prospects from abroad to bring to the club???

What about the BS that any candidate must know Scottish caber tossing?

It’s maybe related to the old football cliche about giving 130% each game🤔

I would put my left bollock on Mackay not being in the running (thank *****)

I voted for Tomasson, far more exciting.

For me it would be MacKay.

He has a better connection to Scottish Football than the rest.

It would result in a backlash from a few sanctimonious Hibs fans that have never made a mistake.

Good manager with a good record. Currently on footballing terms the best candidate.

Voted for Tomasson (did well with Malmo) and Appleton (good record).

Didn't vote for him but I'd be fine with Johnson - four games sixteen years ago for Hearts is irrelevant if he's a good manager.

Not keen on Mackay. I'd thole him if we're doing well but as soon as there's a down turn then I'd want him gone.

Jon Dahl Tomasson for me. Outstanding record!!!

JDT
Mackay
Johnson
Appleton

That’s my order if preference but Johnson/Appleton are interchangeable, pretty much same calibre I reckon.

Tomasson would be my pick but can't see us getting someone like that so Mackay for me.

Ron's got 10k pw burning a hole in his pocket so could chuck it JDT's way.

Can't see it happening though so I'm expecting it to be Johnson.

JDT would be an exciting appointment and fans would get behind it.

JDT
Appleton
Johnson
Mackay

Can definitely see why people would want Mackay due to knowing Hibs the most probably but then again Ron will want season tickets sold so will maybe go for the bigger name.

In order

JDT
Appleton
MacKay

Would be delighted with JDT and happy with the other 2.

Johnson would be a disaster. The training video of him almost comes over as a parody and could easy enough have been mistaken for James Corden's Smithy character.

You say mistake like it was a one off thing and not a series of comments/incidents.

The strange thing is he has black players now, one would think if he was a rancid racist no black guys would play for him, it’s not like Ross county are paying huge wages, these guys could be getting similar at lots of clubs up n doon the country.
