View Full Version : Aberdeen home - Saturday

Just thought I had better start a threat for the game Saturday, v Aberdeen .
No one has put one up so far. How do we think we will do. Now the pressure is off , can the players showcase themselves for the last few matches ?
Travelling up from Leamington, ( who won the Birmingham Senior Cup , last night against Stourbridge , 3-1) ,in front of about 2500 plus at Aston Villa.
Trains up the west coast still not running properly yet, due to line works. I Shall travel from Stevenage , having driven there first, on the Lumo train,
and back £42 return .
As all restrictions are now off , hopefully trains etc will be ok, did not want to risk it earlier in the season , in case of overnight buses or train cancellations
and then getting stranded somewhere.
Also congratulations to Buxton , where I have also resided, being NPL champions , now in the NLN , same league as Leamington, split loyalties ?
I am always a glass half full person , lets hope for a good win Saturday .

Enjoy.
Yes West Coast has been a pain for a while. Trains here are absolutely awful.
Hopefully a Hibs win but can see draw written all over it. 0-0. Sorry.

Interested to see the crowd. Imagine there wont be many from Aberdeen paying over £30 quid to watch this one.
Probably get announced as 12 or 13k tickets sold, but I expect we will see the lowest actual attendance at a Hibs Dons game at ER for some considerable time.

I'll be there with one kid, the other doesn't fancy it. Can't see it breaking 10k tbh
I'm looking forward to be back at Easter road for a game.

You need to pay more attention - the doom and gloom started in the second post:na na:
I also hope he he enjoys his day. Albeit at a sparsely populated Easter Road.

Honestly can't see much in the rest of the games this season due to the young lads still going for the league. Won't see any feature I wouldn't of thought so.
Maybe a Scott Allan appearance in one of the last two home games.

I wish the players had showcased themselves before now. Mind you, I’m not sure this hibs team and showcase go together.
Quicker these games are out the way the better

For some reason I will be there, I expect us to play exactly the same as the last two games and if we get more than 1 shot on target I’ll probably take that as a positive outcome.

The difference is £60k per position roughly in the bottom six. So the difference between 7th and 10th is about £180k.
I know what you mean, but probably worth us finishing strongly. £180k would pay a big chunk of safe standing in the FF lower.

Honestly for me now whether we finish 7th or 10th the seasons already been a total failure. I’m feeling that apathetic towards hibs right now I don’t think I’d be able to muster up the effort to be angry at the club or players, past caring about this season.

I think all Hibs fans do but very fine margins . In a season with incredibly bad luck with injuries we were very close to winning the LC and making the SC final and were 1 goal off 4th at split .

Another home game I’m missing because I can find some excuse.
After shelling out more than £400 on a season ticket my attendance this year will stand at 11 out of 19 home games. Mostly because of apathy..
Cracking investment, Gromit.

We don’t score many goals.
Hardly scored more than 1 goal in a league game all season.
We haven’t come back from 2-0 down all season.
Any word on Hanlon / Jasper ?
Muller away so another space on the bench.
Think Mitchell might start but maybe not worth risking.

Agreed, at this point, someone like Scott shouldn't even be making the bench, I'd rather anyone just get some experience and learn something than watch him flounder about.

2 of the group of 4 I go with aren't going. Thankfully one of them is my daughter because the football is 'too boring' (get used to it:greengrin) so means I can get a couple of pints pre match.
To say I'm looking forward to it is a stretch but it's been a while and these games still matter from a financial perspective.

Does feel like a long time since I took my seat at Easter Road. Can’t actually remember what game game it was. I was on holiday for the Dundee Utd game but watched that game online, so a good number of weeks has passed and a lot has happened within that period.
Still not decided if I’ll travel up or not. Like many, I’m already in close season mode and might end up just taking the watch online option out of choice rather than necessity.

Feels like I’ve hardly been at ER this season, even though I’ve been at every game we’ve played there. Two games played there since the start of March.
Think tomorrow will be the lowest home attendance (in terms of folk actually there rather than attendance given) at a league game in a long, long time.

However season ticket holders can buy half price tickets for non ST holders online for this match by using promotion code ‘seasonticketholder50’ when booking.
