What's everyone's take on it so far? Is the outcome going to be based on who's the best actor?

My take on it, is that they were both abusive, terrible people, who were in an abusive terrible relationship.

Yet one of them has lost a number of jobs and roles, the other is starring in aquaman and their career continues as if nothing happened.

When you tell someone that you didn't punch them, you only slapped them, or when you defecate in their bed, or sever their finger, you aren't a good person.

Both as bad as each other in some aspects but I really can't take to Amber Heard with what I've been watching the last few days, it's like she's starring in a movie role....

No idea on the case but the latest fantastic beasts film was probably lessened by the change in actor from Depp.

I don't know why the news bulletins are full of these ghastly people. Is there really that much interest in their tawdry marriage?

That's if what he says is true. Her acting was cringy yesterday but there's truth in some of the stuff she said I think. I actually hope she is making it up as what she described was horrific

It looks to me it's a version of the Jeremy Kyle Show for people rich, famous and indeed stupid enough to have expensive lawyers play multiple roles.

From the little I have watched it looks like a mutually abusive relationship involving 2 people with all sorts of issues. In the case of Depp his addictions to alcohol and other substances are well documented, with Heard there seems a string of issues in her past that need professionally resolved.

They would have been better advised to spend their money resolving said issues privately and independently. What legal team is going to advise them to do that when there are millions of dollars to be made though?

The recordings, Depp's former partners supporting him and Heard's history of domestic abuse charges certainly make it appear to be a more interesting case than what we're used to.

If Depp is telling the truth, the "they're both horrible." and "this should be handled privately" makes quite a statement about peoples attitudes to men who are victims of abuse.
