Aye, she sacked their Manager after he got them promoted and when I think they were lying in 4th place in the play off positions.

Take her back in an instant. No thanks. Never understood the adulation for the former CEO. She was responsible for appointing the disaster that was Heckingbottom and previously the Lennon debacle where he wasn't fired and didn't resign. Aye right.

Leeann Dempster: Scottish football chief executive had 'backside slapped' - BBC Sport (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61291233)
Leeann Dempster says one of her first experiences as an executive in Scottish football was having her "backside slapped" by a male staff member.
The 51-year-old was left "shocked" by the incident.
i imagine this must have been at Motherwell if it was one of her first experiences ?
then talking about the Neil Lennon incident
Dempster also told how she "genuinely regrets" the manner of Neil Lennon's departure as Hibs head coach. Lennon left in January 2019 after being suspended by the club following an exchange between him and several employees.
"It was at a point where it probably had to happen, for him and us," said Dempster. "If I had that to do over again, I would do it in a different way."

She also entirely rebuilt the club and won us the cup.
And Hecky wasn't a total disaster. And Lennon certainly wasn't.
Dempster done amazing things here.

Not forgetting the failure of the commercial side, letting the FF5 stand go to ruin, the automatic turnstiles fun or the loyalty points issues. If our current CEO had presided over any of that then he would be getting lynched.
She done alright but no better or worse.

They’ve made an absolute mess of building the new ground. It’s barely started and they were originally supposed to be moving in during the first half of this season.
The managerial situation hasn’t been handled well either, pretty much played since Christmas with no manager.
She’s got quite a lot of work to do to win over my QP supporting pals

They had Owen Cole lined up for some time but they could not appoint him until the Indian season was over.
Think he could be a good appointment for them.

My QP supporting pals would agree with this (in fact, given the size of the QP support they might be the same people!). There seems to be a bit of confusion over who is running the show, with Willie Haughey funding it, Dempster as CEO and the old committee from the amateur days still in place. Communication with fans has seemingly been dire, with Dempster hardly seen other than on the telly.

Dempster done amazing things here. Sorry don't agree. Totally overrated in my book. Failed to get the club promoted from the championship twice but eventually did after 3 seasons. Aye but, but, I hear... no buts... failed. Heckingbottom should never have been appointed but yes I liked Lennon but his leaving was a debacle.

Id absolutely kill for the squad she built. Didn't fail at all. Succeeded massively

Lennon who had similar issues with his behaviour and issues with players at Celtic and got sacked & heckingbottom that’s currently doing a decent job down south. It never worked at hibs but he is clearly a decent manager which is why she went for him

People have short, and slightly odd, memories. She came in with the club in disarray. No manager, not many players, everything in free fall. Fast forward a couple of seasons (in a league with Sevco, Jambos, Dundee Utd etc etc) and we had a great squad and won the cup for the first time in 114 years. The following season we were back up.
But people still want to focus on negatives.

But people still want to focus on negatives. Some people look back with rose-tinted glasses and some look back through a very negative lens. Dempster picked up Hibs at a good time when we were rock bottom. She got in a manager who helped re-build the club and certainly helped bring thr club back to the community. It wasnt all perfect though - we did spend 3 years in the championship and the club never managed to maintain the positive direction once the upward spiral petered out.
Looking back now though you would give anything for a CE who has learnt their trade at a smaller club and learned how to do things properly rather than a guy who's done a sports management degree and thinks he knows it all.

I enjoyed listening to that. She speaks so fondly of the club and recites moments/goals from the SC final like it was yesterday - like only a fan could.
She’s basically the polar opposite of our current CEO. Relatable, Its easy to believe in what she says and generally hang on every word.
She had some failings during her time here, commercially especially. But it’s important to remember she was operating under a totally different regime and the budget she had to work with is probably dwarfed with what’s available now.
BK had a bit to say about Leeann and the previous regime earlier this season, I thought it was pretty crass at the time. Up until this point he couldn’t lace her proverbial boots.

Similar, I thought his comments were a way to try get fans on side and blame the old guard. Not a style that sits well with me

Might have been a different story for Heckingbottom if it hadn't been for Boyle's injuries. The only league minutes Boyle played for him were when he was coming back from injury and came on in the 80th minute v Livi and got an extra-time equaliser. Maybe Hecky should have brought him on in the 70th minute, he might have scored 2. 😀

Madness that even back then we had managers relying on Boyle and it was never addressed.

Dempster was another who enjoyed giving roles at ER to her pals etc.
If Gordon's going to be criticised for nepotism then it's only fair we remember Dempster and her actions too.
I'm grateful for her input, particularly at such a low ebb in the club's history, but I can't help but feel there is a lot of starry-eyed nonsense about her time here.

Dempster was quite impressive as a CEO in the early days but commercially the club became a complete basket place and for some unknown reason she then decided to give jobs to her incompetent pals.
You can understand Ron employing the boy but Dempster and her little crew certainly knew on which side the bread was buttered.🤔

On the subject of Queens Park, I took in their game vs Falkirk at the weekend there and it’s true to state not all is well with the spiders. Definitely didn’t feel so well anyway. Stadium fiasco seemed to be a major issue with lesser Hampden nowhere near a ready date yet and falling ever further behind schedule. Prospect for next season appears to be Broadwood which has a lot of the fans put off. The few I spoke to aren’t even considering renewing their books if that’s the case, promotion or not. On the pitch their seemed to be a lot of frustration with the team unable to finish a team off and see the game out. Wonder what that’s like eh? Story of the 1-1 game on Saturday and story of the season so far apparently. Interesting play off ahead vs the Pars. Tempted to get back along to Firhill to take it in.

The building work was initially delayed by Covid. I was told that the building contractors hired to do the rebuild went bust and they had trouble getting somebody else in to replace them.

Fair analysis.
wasn’t perfect but she had a vision for the club and ultimately she delivered the one thing we all thought we would never see in our lifetime. She recruited well overall. Getting out the championship when both the Sons and Cousins were in there, too was always going to be tough when you were in transition. She cared about the clubs place in the community and that, too, was not a bad thing after the Straitongate years of not that long before.
No doubt aspects could have been done differently or better but I don’t see things being improved on the football side at present and the vision seems a bit out of focus.
