Also reminds us that no football club other than Celtic, oldco and newco have won the league title since Alex Ferguson's Aberdeen side the season before hertz blew it.
Depressing,isn't it ?

I have had the pleasure of talking to SAK on the telephone, and also by text. Following protocol I was sure to address him by his title. Good bloke who is successfully engaged in the building industry in Australia

It would be even more depressing if they hadn't bottled it that day. Can't imagine them depriving me of one the best laughs ever.

By far, my favourite football non Hibs game and day. Doubt it will ever be topped. They love blaming St Mirren in a conspiratorial take but their bottle was steadily crashing the couple games before that, when they had opportunities to put it beyond doubt.

In their pathetic use of the term Hibs’d it - the Hearts fans fail to grasp the outstanding irony of their team ****ting the bed on the final day of that season, when all they had to do was draw!
Put that together with them blowing the Cup Final the next week and blaming St Mirren because they lost on goal difference (forgetting St Mirren hammered them 6-2 earlier that season!) their lack of introspection and delusion knows no bounds!

Hibs'd it is pure irony comfort blanket. Their meltdown when blowing the league in the Sir Albert Kidd game is the worst ever bottle job in the history of world wide football. I remember being at the Hibs v Dundee Utd game at ER when the news filtered through. Think we got beat 1-0 that day but couldn't have cared less, Ha Ha. Corrupt weirdo club that is totally obsessed with us.

And apparently they all had the flu when they got humped by the Dons in the cup final.

I remember a radio Forth phone in on the Sunday and Hearts fans were saying any Hibbies who were celebrating must be really sad people.

I particularly enjoy the bitterness of Sandy Clark, as when he opens his gub about it down the years, including threatening Sir Albert...a certain John Brown pipes up to which Sandy doesn't respond. Clearly bottles it from him, bit like Hearts that day.
Good for a laugh this one.

Brilliant hadn’t seen that article before
Someone such as Craig, who I don’t think has many winner’s medals, opted out of the game through illness and it’s hard to understand.
We were standing just in front of the floodlight pylon beside the shed when the news came through .
After a pause to confirm which Kidd had scored the laughter began .
After weeks of hearing about there great run and all the title parties they were having, that night in Leith was a hoot with the few that did show there faces unhappy that we were enjoying there ‘ celebrations ‘

They literally dropped their trousers and asked for it. Ha Ha. Hibsed it is pure Jambottling comfort blanket to deflect from the fact a number of their team went down with some mysterious bug (bottling it} and shat it world wide style. Ha Ha. The Hun player Brown nailed Sandy Clark's book. Hilarious. Pure establishment weirdos that couldnae take their medicine. Ha Ha

That’s brilliant - hadn’t seen that before.
I’ve told a longer story on a previous thread about meeting John Brown at the hotel we were staying in Ibiza, just a few weeks after that game. He was a really quiet, decent guy on that holiday and good company (teetotaller). Told me and my Jambo fanatic brother in law that Dundee players could see Hearts were visibly cacking it coming out in the second half when everyone knew the score at Love Street.

Btw, Browns aggressive jump into the Hearts defenders and knock down header to Kidd for the first goal was incredible. He was absolutely instrumental in the result that day.

A game that cost them dearly in 1965 season was a shock defeat at home.
They got beat 7-1
The opponents that day.

That mita Hearts ‘80’s team really were legendary bottlers in big games. The following season in ‘87, St Mirren scored in the last 7-8 mins of the Scottish Cup semi to knock them out and go on to win it. The following season in 1988, they were leading Celtic in the SC semi 1-0 with 3 mins to go and managed to lose 2-1 in normal time. A few years later, it was Airdrie. Recently, ‘hammering’ St Mirren in the LC Final and losing it, 9 man ICT, their last 2 SC Finals leading Celtic and blowing it. Their history of choking from winning positions is a lot worse than any other club.

Ha Ha. Absolutely terrific. Had a right laugh also when reading jambo kickback earlier. What a hoot. Some of the weirdest bammers were trying to inflate the criminal romanov era to that of the worst ever 1985/86 bottle job in history. Ha Ha. Embarrassing and humiliating. Take a bow Sir Albert Kidd. Architect of the biggest bottle job in football anywhere in the world. Gave the weirdo obsessed with us a lesson in humility, ha ha.
