After another shocker at St. Mirren, it is a real concern how bad we have been this season post Rangers game. I'm fed up at all the excuses offered by all and sundry-first/second team should be irrelevant to positive football. Our midfield is so ultra safe, we only know how to strangle a game of football. That is NOT the Hibs dna us fans want to support. Whoever gets the gig better have an attack minded philosophy or I'll be well p'ed off 😬

But if I’m watching this next year then don’t think I could handle it for another season.

The last 3 weeks have all been about the results. Twice we failed, yesterday we got it done.

There's nothing entertaining about watching Hibs lose goals so I'm normally in favour of any manager who wants to keep a tight defence.

But I do think we need to be a bit more aggressive going forward in future, both in getting numbers up the park and in the way we move the ball, especially at home.

Mainly it will need new personnel but it will also involve taking the shackles off a bit more at times.

Not always, at times.

I suppose the problem with the midfield is that the guys we have at the moment aren't good enough to play any other way than safe.

Not always, at times.I frequently feel like both Newell and JDH are playing within themselves. I agree with your point about taking the shackles off, maybe it's just how they play but I think they are capable of more

I genuinely think a manager that knows how to get the best out of players and systems would find that they've inherited a talented group of players at Hibernian. Maloney was way out of his depth as a rookie manager and should have cut his teeth at a lower league club. Hopefully Ron and Board have learnt the hard way and will install a Roy Keane or another experienced Manager with a proven track record. I think Maloney sucked the life out of the squad tbh, not his fault though as he should never have been installed in the first place. Hope he moves down levels and comes back up after learning the trade at a more realistic size of club and league for a rookie.
