What worries me most at the moment is the apparent lack of direction in the football department.

A father and son running the club with no previous experience in football club management. Ben Kensall had commercial management experience but I’m led to believe that he wasn’t responsible for the football operation.

The Hibernian Way project delivered by the Hibs Board in 2014 identified the importance of the role of a football director who would recruit the coaching teams, deliver the football philosophy and with the support of the recruitment team, bring players into the club that match our ethos and values.

Who would you offer that role to?

He’s retired …but I’d say let’s get his role back with someone decent and not have to change our philosophy every time we change manager ….

I know that his personality and methods weren’t popular with a minority, but I would still reckon that John Collins could fit that role well.

100%.

He wouldn’t be coaching or even in the dressing room for matches so those players who can’t match the fitness levels of a 50 year old would be spared their blushes.
