What's your thoughts on goalkeepers being asked to play more as a sweeper rather than just launch it forward. Macey gets a lot of flack for his kicking, but imagine if Macey made mistakes like the Man City goalkeeper did yesterday. It was was very similar to what Ederson did the week before and I've also seen Allison causing problems with his passes forward too. I can understand what they are trying to do, but makes me very nervous.

That wasn't a case of playing out from the back costing them, that was just inept goalkeeping. There was a first time pass to the full back on, and even keepers that play out from the back punt it when needed, he could have done either of the two.

Was a decision making error rather than an issue with playing out from the back.
