Play Clarke On The Right.

Clarke could be one of if not the key player on Saturday and should be played on the right to maximise his strengths and make the balance of the team stronger in my opinion.

Would mean dropping Cadden who has been one of our better players since Maloney came in.

For me Clarke should play right or a back 3.

Far more balance to it than show-horning doig or Lewis in at LCB.

That would be my team with Clarke further forward with his pace to hit them right at there Defence.

Clarke at RCB with Cadden in front of him could be similar to Robertson and Tierney for Scotland when one attacks the other covers also Doig must play LWB at Hampden.

It could work that way with both players taking it in turn to attack Hearts on the wide area. Bushiri would drop out for me he needs to make better decisions on when to play the ball out and when to clear his lines and that can only improve with a better awareness, only my opinion.

Agree it is not ideal but at least the overall balance the team is better.

I like Clarke and think he’s done fine at LWB but based on what I’ve seen of him so far that’s probably the least suitable outfield position for him.

Extra nonsensical given we have had Doig who can play there.

Clarke is a good footballer whose all round game, attitude and athleticism would likely make him a relative success in almost any position - including striker.

And the goal was a peach of a finish, the kind we’ve been wanting from our strikers all season.

Did both contributions come because of him being at LWB or in spite of him playing there? I think he’d be making pretty serious, positive contributions wherever he was playing.

Although it’s also probably worth pointing out that he didn’t cover himself in glory defensively at the Dundee United goal.

I would like to see Clarke as a AM supporting Doidge and Melkersen. I would play a 4312 formation with as much experience on the pitch as the club could muster.
